The match was a little awkward yesterday when I do a recap. 81% possession of the bal but not the feeling they were parking the bus. And 0 times offside for both teams. Still like the way we played. We dominated. No stupid cards, or I should say no cards at all though Lyratzis should have been booked. Maybe this is the positive side effect what the early elimination might bring us: time for Lucescu to practice those things that can not be practiced while travelling and preparing for the ECL qualifiers.

Good to win first up, just to ease the tension after the disappointment of being knocked out of Europe. Some interesting selections by Lucescu, starting Thomas over Oliveira and Koulireakis over Kargas. I suspect Kargas will return next week. With Nasberg getting a crack at the spot next to Ingason once he is fit. Don't think we'll see Thomas over Oliveira too often either but who knows, still plenty to play out. Interesting to hear Lucescu say he wants a no.10 or a winger, someone who is a dribbler and will run and drive at defenders. We need a no.10, not sure we need another winger though. And even with regards to a no.10 we have heaps of midfielders (none of whom are clear dekaria) so hard to see anyone else coming in unless one of Kurtic/Augusto is sold.

Nice start, but agree it is early. Almost gave up an early goal and were lucky Lamia muffed a penalty. Pineda looks to be very good.

What same karamela. When he took over the team 10 years ago he said his goal was for PAOK to eventually become self sufficient, and in yesterday's comments he jus reiterated that goal. Let's face it, as much as the Savvidis haters want him to gone, he will stay around. Eventually his sons will take over, unless some other crazy billionaire comes in and buys the team, something that is very unlikely.
