  2. He'll be back in. If Ivic loses tomorrow, he's definitely gone. Very thin ice (just what Tzavellas wants). Would be entertaining to see Garcia as interim manager. Would probably punch Tzavellas almost immediately.

  8. Every time Campos defends, I am so sure we'll get scored on. Pull the striker back and let him roam up front instead, he's completely useless defensively.

  9. Yes. Not used to this as a PAOK fan. Let's hope we don't do an Atromitos, ha ha.

  10. One more goal and I think SL's going to fall apart. They look demoralized.

  11. No one really. Only Klaus has been below average but I'd rather him than Koulouris at this stage. Kudos to Pelkas who has stepped up today (and as I'm typing this he scores) and despite lots of small mistakes has played with much vigour.

  12. It is what it is. Let's win here so at least we know we did all that we could. I'd rather go out that way than by not winning here in Toumba.

  19. Been saying it for ages, we have had this issue up front from 3rd division (I wont go further back before Meli's time) and still we cant solve this problem, surely one F***en scout can get this right if not why do we even have them there?

  20. Good example would be Ninis and Fetfatzidis. Mantalos and Fortounis look like they are improving month by month. I just looked at the highlights the last game AEK played and Mantalos was doing everything. He is the heart of the team. Fortounis although is getting better and is a really talented player, sometimes shows he is a bit lazy in the game. But he is very talented and he must be working very hard in training with Olympiakos and by himself.

  21. Straight from UEFA's web site: Group J: Qarabağ (7) v Fiorentina (10), PAOK (7) v Slovan Liberec (4) Fiorentina are definitely through unless they lose and PAOK win, in which case it would then come down to a three-way head-to-head. In this scenario, the outcome would depend on the goals scored in the game between the Fiorentina and Qarabağ. Qarabağ are through with a win, or a draw if PAOK do not win (Qarabağ have a head-to-head advantage over PAOK). Also if PAOK do not win, Qarabağ can only top the group if they win 4-0 or by margin of five goals or more. PAOK must pick up more points than Qarabağ (who have the head-to-head advantage over the Greek side), or win and hope Fiorentina lose a margin of six goals or more. Liberec are through if they win and Qarabağ lose as Slovan would top the three-way tie-break for second place. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2425783.html

  22. Sokratis was good before Dortmund, which is why he was signed by Genoa, Milan and Bremen, but he took it to the next level at Dortmund, because of setting, age and experience. He stood out at WC 2010 when he was 22. which is like standing out as a teenager for a striker. K Papadopoulos was a phenom at 18 and if it wasn`t for his injuries, he would be in the same category as Sok and Manolas atm. Manolas moved to Roma at 23 and he was good even before then. Aside from the aforementioned CBs, and for Ninis and Fetfa that did not pan out as we expected, Greece has not had any stand out youngsters that have delivered consistent quality. That, although, may have a lot to do with the league that develops them. The Greek superleague is not where you want to nurture your talent. The lucky ones garnered enough attention to merit a transfer to a better league where they can develop properly and reach their potential by 25-27.
