Euro2004 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Lovely finishes, particularly the third. Let's hope he continues that form into the world cup.

Euro2004 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Don't you just love Frankfurt! They always give our talent chances. Amanatidis, Kyrgiakos, Lyberopoulos, Mantzios and now Gekas. It's great!
drakos13 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 agreed, i love eintracht i also think Gkekas will do great there. Its perfect size club for him to thrive, and other Greek players do exceptionally well, even aging Lybe played well this season. I think its a perfect club for him and very good signing for Eintracht. Glad he didnt come back to Greece.
Genome Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 A glance at the qualifying statistics for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ tells you all you need to know about the quality of Theofanis Gekas. The Greece forward was the leading goalscorer in the European Zone with ten strikes, putting him ahead of stars such as Wayne Rooney, Miroslav Klose and David Villa. "I was delighted, of course, but it's irrelevant who gets the goals for us. It was a very good team performance throughout, and I'd like to thank my team-mates for creating great opportunities for me to score," Full interview with Gekas about the world cup here.
Euro2004 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Gekas has ended his goal drought with 2 goals in Frankfurt's 4-0 win away at Munchengladbach

pao123 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 gekas scored twice today as eintracht beat kaiserslautern away from home 0-3 he is now tied top scorer of the league with 7 goals..hes been a real poacher in front of net so far this season..most of his goals have not been spectacular by any means but he has been lethal in the box... could really help us in the nt this year, he looks like hes picking up some great form.. tzavellas assisted his second goal as well :gr: :gr:

Akritis_1944 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Tzevellas got the assist for Caio's goal as well.
pao123 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 this is pretty unbelieveable.... im watching eintracht v wolfsburg right now and he just scored in the 26th minute making it a 10 goals in as many games...he looks hungry, i bet he'll get another...
athinaios Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I wonder sometimes whether Gekas could have sustained this kind of effectiveness in the Greek league.... We got Salpi and we told him to go to PAOK, and he refused. Good move on his part. I think we should have kept him (and Salpi). Good to see Greeks doing well in Europe
george21 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 He's on fire, 11 goals out of 11 games, he must be top scorer in the Bundesliga? It's a big shame he retired for Greece, hopefully he can come out of his retirement. Anyway here's his goals.
pao123 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 yeah...he has 11 and is followed by freiburgs papis cisse with 9 goals... his goals have lead eintracht to 3rd place in the bundesliga...
george21 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Gekas has stated he has not intentions of playing for Greece again. It's a shame to see him say that. http://www.aek365.gr/a-90912/%CE%B3%CE%BA%CE%B5%CE%BA%CE%B1%CF%82-%CE%B1%CF%81%CF%81%CF%89%CF%83%CF%84%CE%B7-%CE%B7-%CE%B5%CE%B8%CE%BD%CE%B9%CE%BA%CE%B7-%CE%B4%CE%B5%CE%BD-%CE%B3%CF%85%CF%81%CE%B9%CE%B6%CF%89.htm'>
