Third qualifying round draw

It's just pure logic. Also based on UEFA rankings

History backs this up. AEK beat both Rangers and Hibernian. Panathinaikos beat Rangers.

I am suprised that anyone would find mine, Spears, crazy and others views so offensive. I would have thought that anyone making a claim that Hearts would be favourites would be brought back into line.

Woooo....the UEFA rankings.....like upsets can't be caused.

History backs this up....against other Scottish teams yes,but not Hearts. We are relatively unknown in Europe,so cant just be written off

and the word "history" is used.

my logic,is that aek wont give us enough respect, and will will come to edinburgh in a similar state of mind as some of the fans on here, and expect a several goal victory. fair enough if it happens, but many of you are writing hearts off, without any good reason

Good post Fyssas, AEK knows that playing against Hearts takes a great effort to advance into the group stage. The result in Bosnia (second leg) does not reflect on there future performance. If you do a scouting report on Hearts, they play good defense, they do score goals as well.

Any team who writes off an unfamiliar club like Hearts (just like Hellas in Euro 2004) would pay dearly.

Yeah I agree that UEFA rankings mean little. I was giving a reason as to why AEK would be favourite in this tie.

I also agree that upsets do happen and Hearts may annihilate AEK. This wouldn't surprise me.

I am not writing Hearts off. I merely made the point that AEK should be regarded as favourites for this tie, whether or not they live up to that will be determined.

I also don't think AEK will underestimate Hearts. I believe sections of the Greek media were dissapointed that AEK drew Hearts.

May the best team win. I don't even follow AEK. I was trying to be neutral.

I believe you read there message boards in BBC.com, lots of funny stuff in there. So once you read it, you "kindly" wanted AEK to go f*** Hearts out.

:D I support all Greek teams in Europe. Whenever Hellenic teams/sportsmen are represented internationally it is the highlight of my sporting calender, but when they play the British, Americans or Turks the importance is magnified for me. And when the opposition has a big mouth too...

I'm just gutted I won't be there! Luckily I've got tickets to the England/Greece game, and I'm trying to find out where I can get tickets for Olympiakos' visit to West Ham on Saturday, because West Ham and Ticketmaster are only selling for the home fans. You wouldn't know by any chance would you file??

Well, i think ive given up on watching the game. Nowhere in Perth, or Western Australia seems to be playing it. Its on at 4 O'clock in the morning over here so that could go some way to explaining why i cant watch it!!

Ive tried English, Irish and Scotish Clubs and Pubs, the Casino, a local Greek Soccer Club (Floreat Athena) and a Greek Cafe (Plaka Cafe) and no one is showing it.

I guess ill just have to wake up in the morning and turn the computer on. :(

Oh well, thats life, hopefully i can find somewhere to watch the return leg!! Im not sure if any greek places over here have SuperSport 1, i think they mostly have ERT and Sentanta.

As far as the game goes, it will be very tough i think. Hearts have stepped up to be one of the best teams in Scotland, they have already played compedative games and are at home. AEK havent done anything in Europe lately, the season hasnt started, and the best team they've played in a friendly is Benfica, who put no pressure on the ball carrier.

Not sure what the score will be, but a draw would be nice, especially if we can pinch an away goal!!!

Im going to be optamisic and go for AEK to win 1-0, Lyberopoulos in the 57th minute!!

CUMMON AEK!!!

 LONG LIVE AEK
