PAO - Seville

First of all in Basketball ordinary people like me can get a 10 euro ticket in the euroleague... But against Thrynos the cheapest was 20 euros. I am not sure how much the organised payed for their tickets...

Now as far as Leoforos you are wrong on the attendances. The problem does not come from the 40-50 year olds as gates 12,10a,10b,9, 3,1 are almost full but it comes from gate 7 (where the ANEXARTITOI of gate 13 don't go anymore) and from gate 13 and 14!!!!

And to be honest with you I don't earn much more than 1000 euro a month but I can still MAKE it for BOTH Basketball and Football!!! (And I don't get any other income from anywhere)...

So if you have the right priorities the you can handle paying 45 euros (5 times a YEAR) to see PAO in europe... Another thing is that our season tickets are quite expensive... The cost around 1500 euro, if PAO was selling the euro tickets 20 euros then who would buy a season ticket? How could PAO justify 1500 euros when at the same time giving away tickets for 15 and 30 euro?

If we were the right fans we would fill out a 13.000 ground at EVERY game... How do the geys fill up Kokkaliskaki huh? Do you think that their tickets are cheaper?

CH-Thrylos can you please provide the info at Thrynos's cheapest domestic and euro tickets?

And Kokkaliskaki is a 30.000 stadium not 13.000!!!! Unless of course suddently the gey-fans became rich and have more money than us!!! Get real, it is simply because they are much better fans than we are...

yes, i do think there prices are cheaper. I remember reading for the Liverpool game that there were tickets as low as 20 euros...

100 euros for a ticket is plain unrealistic. Its the UEFA cup and its still very early. the game does not have that high a value.....im saying in 7 something like 25-30 is much more fair, and for 10 id say 60-65 is fair. 100 and 45 IS WRONG. in gate 7 there is no guarantee you will see the game even, because of the nets, barbed wire, and banners over the fences. maybe ever is right and they are disgusted, but you can still get a lot more tickets sold if you put the prices at a FAIR level. of course raise them a bit for european matches to correspond with demand, but beleive me the jump from 40 euros in gate 10 and 45 euros in gate 3 to -----------100 and 120 EUROS!? that doesnt make sense for THIS game. vs Thrinos or in a champions league or even a semifinal/quarter of uefa where not many games left yeah then its ok.....but for this game no it was a stupid idea to set the prices so high after fans are pissed off and the team just had a crisis. The numbers prove it.

I

Let's not forget back in 1985 we averaged 45.000 tickets per game at the OAKA. I attended a game vs in 1987 vs Levadiakos and we had at least 35.000 fans.

Are you crazy? When did we average 45.000? I had a season ticket back then (my father actually and I was going for free because I was under 12) and I remember OAKA being empty!!! Most people in here will laugh over this... 45.000 AVERAGE? :o not even in our wildest dreams!!!

You say we have expensice season tickets..f*uk oath we do!!! And he couldnt justify the match tickets at 20 euro's because of that. Well, he is over selling the product.

So how come most of the 1500 euro season tickets are sold? If the product was overpriced then nobody would have bought them!!! And at least our president sells season tickets for each year and doesn't MAKE you to buy it for minimum of 3 season as a package!!!! ;)

Olympiakos fans have a new stadium and signed someone by the name of Rivaldo. That's a pretty decent excuse to go to the games. What did we have to look forward to in the summer Epale and Andric in an ancient stadium?

Is that Vardinogiannis fault as well? because the ARXI-PASOKOS, Labis Nikolaou was the president of EOE and the doctor of Thrynos at the same time and signed for the GIFTING of Kokkaliskaki to Thrynos, was that Tziggers fault? Also you speak about our transfers.. He brough Gonzalez a player much more useful than the 32 year old 2 years unemployed rivaldo just to make an IMPRESSION... How can you be against this? I prefer a president doing moves for the welfare of the club than doing UNESCESSARY moves just for impressing people and shutting up peoples mouths...

The "Anexarthtoi" are 2000-3000 fans max. Why could we fill the Leoforos 2 years ago and we can't now? The "anexartitoi" make a differance vocally, but not in numbers. We did not, not fill the stadium yesterday because they no longer attend, but because the "simple" fans are disgusted with the way issues are handled by Vardinogiannis.

You think that 3.000 in a 13.000 ground don't make a difference in numbers? This is almost 25% of the capacity of Leoforos!!!!

PAO is getting smaller, and if we don't get a new stadium soon, in Athens (not Elliniko or whatever) the club will become even smaller. And remember, a club is only as great as it's number of fans (cumstomers). PAO has million of fans in Greece, yet they can't even fill a stadium of 15.000, do you ask yourself why?

I can't understand how you blame Vardinogiannis for the ground issue of PAO... Can you honestly find me ONE good reason that Vardinogiannis doesn't WANT to go to Goudi?

This is a 100% fault of the government... The goudi issue has massive municipality problems, space, parking, less land etc etc... That is why Tzigger is thinking over it again... If you are looking to blame someone blame the damn government... I didn't see the government backing up for those Olympic constructions that were made DESPITE the opposition of the mayers (remember Faliro and the tram?). They simply went ahead without talking into account anything!!! They could do the same with PAO and AEK grounds but they are KOTES!!!!!!

Look at the players Kokkalis has brought to Olympiakos and look who the Kavouria have brought. And I don't care of they failed in Europe or whatever. Kokkalis had/ has the best intentions for Olympiakos whatever mistakes he's made with coaches.

Which players are you talking about exactly?

Rivaldo? or perhaps Talaridis, Maric, Rezic, Okkas and Adonaki Melos... Wow we are talking about supertransfers huh?

Anyway I will say it again, people can do and support anything they want... The only thing bothering me is AXARISTEIA!!! You want to boycott PAO football games? NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!!! But I hate it when you expect management to bring great coaches, players, stadium etc etc... If I was Vardinogannis I would leave the Anexartitoi and all the other organised KOTES in their misery at Leoforos for another 100 years gia na valoun myalo!!!!! And to be fair not only the organised but the other KOTES at gate 10 or whatever that appear and dissapear like FARTS!!! Every time the team is doing well they are playing it super supporters but when things go wrong they don't go to another football match for 3 years!!!! OYST!!!

Then AEK, Ethnikos, Panionios and all the other teams fans should NEVER go to see the games because they simply DONT win any titkes huh?

Olympiakos seems to end up first place in attendance more than any other club from those facts

in the last few years it went down due to the capacity of Rizoupoli of 14,000 off course we all know who is first place in attendance this season and will be first place in League

While those statistics are indeed unrelated to the thread, they are quite useful. Thanks to Evergreen for bringing them here.

Moral lesson : A decent team needs a decent stadium near the location of their main fan base. Kokkalis got it soon and managed to build Karaiskaki just in time financial crisis hit the door of Greek football. He also combined it with some loud transfers (those Evergreen mentioned) and other financial measures.

This is why most people go to stadiums. They want to see a Gonzalez or a Rivaldo winning titles, not nobodies in a wrecked and unsafe stadium. It's 100% Vardinogianni fault that they were so late in exploiting some opportunity to build a new stadium under the same favorable terms Kokkalis got for Karaiskaki. No one denied those terms to Vardinogianni (very early, Souflias himself has stated that PAO will enjoy same treatment as OSFP).

So the fault lies 100% to PAO management. Naives will always claim that the opponents had discriminatory favourable treatment from the gov, but truth is that the last time "kavouria" added something to PAO's infrastructure was when they built Paiania. That was quite a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm wishing good luck to PAO for the second leg. I missed the 1st half of the game but, although I didn't like your 2nd half, I am sure you deserved to win (judging from the missed chances to score).
