Did you see anything special from Anderlecht? Low block with the odd counter, and we just decided to cross it to their keeper most of the game.

Anderlecht is an ok team. They got lucky with that early goal and then played the entire game to keep the 1:0 lead.

We on the other hand had the possession the entire game but only managed to get 2 shots on target. We just could not create any scoring chances.

That’s what good teams do. Make it difficult to score. You know how hard it is to sit back 89 min and not concede.

I love that this is your take. 

Why do more teams in world football choose to park the bus and defend? Because it is easier than trying to build up and create with the ball at your feet. Don't get me wrong it takes discipline and focus to stick to it for 90 minutes and not make any mistakes. But Anderlecht did make mistakes, they conceded 2 penalties and we created more than enough to score at least once, if not twice. 

We weren't perfect and made our own mistakes, that is football. More goals are scored by one team making an error than by the others brilliance. 

I fundamentally disagree with the implication that it is harder to sit back for "89 minutes" than it is to try and break down a low block. You could set out any team to sit deep and defend, there isn't much to it tactically. The far more challenging part is being on the other side and being able to open up said defence, not become frustrated and create.
