pash Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Lyratzis on loan to Panserraikos until the end of the season. His contract expires in June of 2026 so this is essentially a free transfer. Good luck to him, sad that he couldn't be our next Leo Matos. 1
Blackhawk Posted July 19 Author Posted July 19 Transfermarkt claims we got 200K for Quagliata. And Tsaousis joins Panserraikos as well for the next 3 years. 1
pash Posted July 21 Posted July 21 There's a rumor that we want Ruben Kluivert, son of Patrick Kluivert. Sticking point is his 5mm euro sale clause. I find this pretty doubtful but since a few sites have now reported it I would be failing in my duties to you all if I did not share. https://www.transfermarkt.us/ruben-kluivert/profil/spieler/578421
pash Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Filipe Soares might be the first of the Boto cast-offs to find a new home, linked with CD Nacional. I'm sure he (and the rest) will be free transfers. Good luck to the kid.
pash Posted July 22 Posted July 22 This one is interesting. We would not be able to outbid Birmingham, of course. Not a hugely inspiring record last year, but then again he's playing in a much better league. Also wouldn't be free.
pash Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) Some reports this morning that Stuttgart will make an offer exceeding 20mm for Konstantelias. Also seeing on inpaok that they offered 18+3 and the deal just needs to be announced. Rumors from Kicker that we are interested in Alex Kral, from Union Berlin: https://www.transfermarkt.com/alex-kral/profil/spieler/337333 He played on loan in Spain last year. -edit- clarified who I'm talking about in the first sentence -edit 2- PAOK Today saying the deal is 18mm + 3mm "bonus" (I don't know if that's guaranteed) + 15% resale Edited July 24 by pash
PaokCT Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Nvm! Savvidis cancelled last min and will offer a pay raise to Delias
pash Posted July 24 Posted July 24 If that was really the sticking point, then it's pure incompetence that this wasn't cleared up two weeks ago. 1
pash Posted July 24 Posted July 24 We've signed one of the kids the B team was trying out, assuming you can still call a 19-year-old a kid (I am old, so will). https://inpaok.com/869534/nea-prosthiki-sto-roster-tou-paok-v/ https://www.transfermarkt.com/abasiekeme-ikobong/profil/spieler/1429908 Good luck to him.

Should have been cleared one year ago when we turned down the offer from Benfica. Better give him a nice contract, because the transfer period is nowhere finished. Quote Crazy turn of events: Is the Konstantelias transfer now suddenly in danger of collapsing? If that isn't a crazy turn of events, then. Giannis Konstantelias was expected in Stuttgart today. But the Greek from PAOK Saloniki didn't show up. Now the transfer threatens to fall through. Everything had already been meticulously prepared. Giannis Konstantelias and his management were scheduled to arrive in Stuttgart today. The mandatory medical examination and final contractual issues were pending. However, according to information obtained by kicker, the trip was canceled at short notice. The player is still in the Netherlands, where PAOK Saloniki is holding its training camp. The exact circumstances are unclear. The PAOK fan forums are full of criticism This transfer is clearly insane. For weeks, the talks between Stuttgart and Thessaloniki have been going back and forth. The clubs have been haggling over the services of the 22-year-old. Now, a breakthrough seems to have been achieved. After a personal meeting between the player and Ivan Savvidis, the club's patriarch recently gave the green light . They wanted to respect the wishes of the German international, who had clearly positioned himself in favor of Stuttgart, albeit with great reluctance. But within today, the deal was withdrawn. One reason may be the uproar among PAOK fans, who took to the barricades. Fan forums are full of criticism. They say the crowd favorite and top performer shouldn't be sold. This anger has likely had an impact on the club's management, led by owner Savvidis. Club boss Savvidis opposes the move from the start The Russian-Greek businessman, who has been opposing the sale of the attacking midfielder for weeks, apparently sees his original opinion confirmed. Stuttgart's offer, which was around €18 million plus €3 million in bonuses, was reluctantly accepted. Nevertheless, the player's transfer permission was granted. And apparently, it was revoked today. It will be interesting to see how things develop. Suspense is inevitable. Since no contractual agreements have been reached between the player and VfB, nor between the two clubs, everything else is up in the air. It's quite possible that the transfer will fall through. Because VfB is very unlikely to renegotiate its offer. And because, given the long back and forth, they have repeatedly bitten their tongues in the recent past to secure the young star. The current development could lead to a reorientation. This could play into the Greeks' hands, as Savvidis announced this evening that he wants to talk to Konstantelias about a contract extension beyond 2027. https://www.kicker.de/irre-wendung-droht-der-konstantelias-transfer-jetzt-ploetzlich-doch-zu-platzen-1133906/artikel
Blackhawk Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 To add to the Konstantelias transfer soap opera, my opinion is that the 18 mil + 3 mil bonuses + 15% resale that Stuttgart was going to pay is quite low. If Konstantelias has a good european run and the NT makes the WC, I think we can demand over 30 mil for him next season.
pash Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I hope you're right. I think at some point someone will pay that for him, I just don't know that we'll be the lucky ones to demand that price
Blackhawk Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 If he stays with PAOK, there is also the risk of career ending injury, which would mean goodbye millions.
paokarag4 Posted July 25 Posted July 25 As you both have correctly pointed out, this has been poor management by the club for close to a year now. He was promised a new and improved contract last summer, it never came. From all reports despite that, Konstantelias was/is still keen to remain, even though he had every right to drag his feet and kick up a stink. All he wanted was a raise in pay, which he is more than worthy of. It is messy, seems like he is staying now but this has had so many twists and turn who really knows what will happen come the 31st of August. If he is renewed on a new deal, it is probably safe to say he remains another season. It is just a shame that we had to get to this point for PAE to get off their butts and give the kid what he deserves. 1
Bananas Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I do hope Konstantelias stays. Firstly agree with Blackhawk that we could get more for him. Second and more important, he isn't easily replaceable. I think if he left and we get some whatever transfer we'd lack up front. We're already down a proper striker for 3 seasons now and rely on the front 3 behind the strikers to create. Losing him would be too much. I don't want a repeat of Koulierakis where once he left we didn't replace him with an adequate player and it showed last season.
Dutch Eagle Posted July 25 Posted July 25 He will stay. Keep in mind that minimum wages in Greece are ....... fasten your seatbelts ...... € 832.00 a month. The kid has x times that amount. And don't underestimate the so called grey circuit in Greece. Babies and todlers are left at the Jajades and Papoudes all the time so mom and dad can work or drink their frappe/latte. But the kid deserves a raise and extention. Will benefit us at the end as the transfer fee is related to wages and remaining years left.
Blackhawk Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 The Germans are now threatening legal action, claiming that have documents showing that PAOK agreed to the transfer.
Blackhawk Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 Italian press claims that we are very close to sign striker Walid Cheddira for 3 years. Apparently we will pay Napoli 3 mil for the player.
pash Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) The Germans can't point to a signed agreement with the actual player, so I'm not sure what they think can happen here. Until the moment he signs, the deal is not over... I love that we are about to have a very slightly younger Samatta on our roster. What a blessing this team's transfer policy has been. -edit- it looks like we just signed a PAO K17 player, Savvas Vamvakidis. I'm not sure if he was under contract or not (or if you can even hold a player that young to a contract) - but metrosport is saying he's heading to our K19 team. https://www.transfermarkt.com/savvas-vamvakidis/profil/spieler/1386214 Maybe they released him for shaving his eyebrow?
