I think ti's a mistake to include Vieirinha over Rafa Soares. If Baba is hurt, Vieirinha will get eaten alive...

Glad the first game is an away match, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Shola doesn't get any real game time in the first half of the season. Luxury purchase by the team; he'll be given the time to get comfortable until one of the other attacking midfielders is sold or hurt, methinks.

Been doing some research on this ref. He is VERY Card happy. In his last 3 official European matches he’s given 14 cards. He was the ref for the Aris - Tel Aviv match with 12 cards in total. In his last 4 National team matches, a total of 19 cards including 4 reds.

Pash my boy, let me put your mind at ease. Jonny Otto has played large chunucks of his career at left-back. I am sure he even played a few games there for us last season. So if anything goes down with Baba (touch wood) I dare say Otto will be the first point of call to cover at left-back, with Sastre coming into to play at right-back.
