Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Why taking one hour??? We see it in a split second.
Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Despodov and Vieirinha subbed out. Andrija and Kedziora coming in.
Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Last sub. Baba (injured too) out and Rafa Soares in.
Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 7 minutes of added time to score our winning goal. And Konstatelias's shot to wide and high.
Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 And thats it. FT 2-2. Played pretty good. But it was not good enough. We "overwinter" as HJK and Aberdeen can't overtake us.
Brklyngrk Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 First place is key as you get to skip a round..
Dutch Eagle Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 That is right. But two seasons ago the knockout round play-offs against Midtjylland were epic. I would like a repeat. By finishing at least on the second spot we earned a bonuspoint on top of the point of today's draw. This lifts our total tally to 8,000 this season and 30,000 for the five year ranking so far.
Blackhawk Posted November 9, 2023 Author Posted November 9, 2023 Group Standings: 1. PAOK 10 2. Eintracht 9 3. Aberdeen 2 4. HJK 1 Remaining games: Eintracht - PAOK HJK - Aberdeen ------------------- PAOK - HJK Aberdeen - Eintracht
paokarag4 Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Not the best result but the point was enough to qualify and keep us on top of the group. Not much changes in regards to topping the group, we go to Frankfurt playing for 2 results. A win guarantees us top spot, while a draw would mean we have to beat Helsinki at Toumba on the last matchday. Was impressed by Konstantelias long range passing, I knew he was capable of playing a pass but hadn't really seen his long range passing. He and Taison our best players.
pash Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Yeah it sucks that we didn't finish off this garbage team, but whatever. It does not change what we'd need to do in Frankfurt - a win or a draw will keep us on top of the group. At least until the Finns come and beat us in Toumba.
Blackhawk Posted November 14, 2023 Author Posted November 14, 2023 Aberdeen is apparently reporting PAOK to UEFA for a racist attack on one of their players during our game with them at Toumba.
paokarag4 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 It should be noted, Aberdeen is saying the abuse came from a section of the fans not one of our players. PAOK is denying it happened.
Athens4 Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 I ended up watching the game in a kafeneio in Astoria. Unfortunately the PAOK Fan Club of New York no longer a stable location. Lucescu once again making unnecessary changes just like he did in Scotland. He got away with it there but not this time. I have no idea why he didn't start with the same 11 that dismantled OSFP. Koulierakis made too many unnecessary fouls near the end of the game. He must learn how to compose himself.
