Dutch Eagle
Draw for this season is set for July 19th. Yes same date as the draw for ECL Q3. But it is Greece so it might be delayed. And possibly will as not all broadcasting rights are signed.
Blackhawk
10 team, including PAOK voted against approving the start of the 2021-2022 season because of the TV rights situation. The three teams voting to approve the start of the new season were Olympiakos, Atromitos and PAS Giannina. Aris abstained. The rest voted against. Of the 14 teams only PAS Gianniona, Atromitos and Aris have a TV contract for the upcoming season.

paokarag4
If there is any silver lining with that decision, its that it gives us some more time to get our house in order and sign these players that we so desperately need to. With only one weekend between the postponement and the break for the national teams, who knows if we actually see any domestic football before the international break. Bananas
You’d think by now EPO and the teams in the GSL would have worked out we should be starting our seasons earlier than in previous years. As each season goes by and we drift down the UEFA rankings the qualifiers become key. And the best preparation is starting earlier. Instead we get this like we’re in a monty python film. It is actually the opposite that should be happening. Instead of wasting time with play offs, it should just be a normal league like most serious championships. Instead we have playoffs and playouts (as if it's basketball or something) and finish around the end of May/beginning of June. Just have 16-18 teams with 30-34 games a year. Ensure it finished by end of April or max first two weeks of May. Make the the first 4-5 rounds of the cup one-game knockouts and finish the season with the cup final the week after the last game of the league. Have the league finish around mid-May and give the players of teams who play in Europe at least a whole month off. It really isn't rocket science (though I guess it is when there is money and NOVA involved).
Bananas
The opposite ? So we should be starting later ? Like September ? 😀 The point is ideally we should be at the teams in the league should have played 3 to 4 matches in the league by the time european qualifiers are played. We need to give our teams the best chance to qualify. I'm pretty confident both AEK and Aris would not have been knocked out if they had more games and match fitness under their belt. As for us, we struggled against a semi amateur team. f***ing shambles.
Athens4
No, it should start around the last week of August. I think with a whole month (perhaps just over even) of pre-season we should be able to beat the titans that we struggled against this year. Blackhawk
Looks like the television rights issues are being resolved and we might have a Superleague kickoff next weekend. Today it was announced that Tripoli will sign with Nova, which means that the rest of the 5 teams that don't have a contract will sign with COSMOTE as long as the standing offer of 8 mil does not change. That would mean that on Monday they will vote and approve the start of the season. That will leave PAOK as the only team without the TV contract. Rumors are that we will sign a 10 mil contract with NOVA, or go the route of PAOK TV as last resort.

Dutch Eagle
And the saga continues. Minnows Lamia, Volos, Apollon Smyrni, Panetolikos and Ionikos are demanding a 2 year contract with Cosmote, while Cosmote want only a 1+1. To kickoff or not to kickoff, that’s the question once again.
