pash
If we came up against FFP rules this summer, how can he then increase by another 28mm today?

Blackhawk
That was another question answered during the General Assembly. They said the team watches the FFP closely and will act accordingly. The way I read it is that we are ok, but if need be we can always sell a player or two.
pash
Well it's not like the rules aren't known to all parties. They must have some talented accountants. Note to self: deep dive into this stuff soon
Dutch Eagle
We have new kantines: https://inpaok.com/606984/nees-kantines-stin-touba-pics/ They look very 2025 but I don't get the stairs. Could be because I am a senior liability claimshandler: I see people breaking legs falling down as they are pushing eachother to be first or when they want to leave with the packed crowd behind them not giving space. pash
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing. But note that these are wheeled - it's possible they couldn't make it work (ergonomically speaking) at a lower level.
Bananas
@DunfermlineAthleticPAOK Is this you ? ? https://inpaok.com/608809/irlandos-tragoudistis-me-fanela-tou-paok-pic/
Dutch Eagle
As long as you don't call our Scotsman an Englishman it will be alright, I guess.
DunfermlineAthleticPAOK
Haha.. When I read "Fanela" my brain changed it to 'Fustanella' and I was too scared to look! Fortunately it's not; he's Irish, has about 15 years on me and specialises in Doom Metal (whatever that is)
Dutch Eagle
Our former coach Heinz Höher passed away yesterday at the age of 80. He was almost two years our coach (1981-1983).

pash
There was some news the other day about a cut in the tax rate that would relate to what we're paying out for our player contracts. I don't know enough about how that works in Greece to comment, but here's some additional info: https://inpaok.com/618734/kerdos-gia-paok-eos-ke-9-ek-evro/
Blackhawk
Well the tax rate went from 45% down to 22%. That's not bad at all. Even Donald Trump could not do that. That should mean substantial savings for the team and help with the FFP situation.
Dutch Eagle
Antonis Gaitanidis is back after his injury. Will he grab some minutes in the League? Think he will get some time in the cup for sure.
PAOKSYD
The tax rate dropping to 22% is huge! Hopefully we can make two big signings in the winter/summer transfer period now and start rocking the European boat!
pash
https://inpaok.com/619933/i-xanthi-aniki-se-panopoulo-sygkelidi/ Well he WOULD say that, considering we own his team too ?

pash
Ingason is our November player of the month. Good for him (though I'd think that he was better in December and should therefore win this month too...right?) Unless Akpom seals that.
Bananas
Apparently the club generated 43 million in revenue (which includes sale of players of 10 million) and expenses were 42 million and yet it says there is a loss of 5 million ? pash
Terrible news, Crespo is out for FOUR MONTHS. Ugh. Time for Mihaj to make his case.
Bananas
Man, that's crap news regarding Crespo. He's been such a dependable player for us. Good boy too. None of the antics like Varela when it came to contract negotiations. Varela at his absolute best I would say is better, but he's not been there for quite a while. Give me a dependable Crespo any day. Yes, let's see if Mihaj can play at this level. In other news, Prijovic is apparently a free agent. Does that mean we could sign him even though the transfer window is closed ?

Bananas
I remember a guy in Uni that was from Thessaloniki. We christened him "O voulgaros" of course, ha ha. He would mention this guy "manavis" from time to time, and lo and behold there is an article on him. Anyone heard of "manavis" by any chance ? https://inpaok.com/633586/manavis-ne-tha-ertho-touba/
Dutch Eagle
Yep, he was one of the first Ultra' s.
Blackhawk
Manavis is a PAOK legend. Also called "The General". He was the leader of Gate 4 Fan Club for years. His real name is Makis Mavromichalis. He has stopped going to PAOK games in 1992 after the "famous" Paris St. Germain game at Toumba. Last year he was seriously ill, but with financial help from Ivan Savvidis he was able to get medical treatment and is now ok. He will be honored during the game with Olympiakos Sunday
