Bananas
If you look at their squad list http://www.transfermarkt.com/fc-schalke-04/startseite/verein/33 you can see that all 3 of their centre forwards are currently injured. They haven't had a centre forward since round 8. Then again, we haven't had one in the last 5 seasons! http://www.transfermarkt.com/klaas-jan-huntelaar/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/4357/plus/0?saison=2016&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= http://www.transfermarkt.com/breel-embolo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/237662/plus/0?saison=2016&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= http://www.transfermarkt.com/franco-di-santo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/59783/plus/0?saison=2016&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= Edited December 19, 2016 by Bananas

Dutch Eagle
Schalke lost against Hamburger SV yesterday. Score 2-1. Scorer was Donis (no, not our former coach) Avdijaj, a 20 year old forward of Kosova-Albanian descent. The goal was scored in the dying seconds of the game. Schalke is the current #11 with 18 points after 16 games.
Dutch Eagle
Schalke is close at contracting Pierre-Michel Lasogga for the rest of the season on loanbasis. Lasogga is currently playing for Hamburger SV. He should fill in their lack of forwards due to injuries.

Dutch Eagle
And Schalke just won a friendly match against Belgian side Oostende. Oostende opened the score and got a player sent of with red. After that Schalke scored twice to win the game 2-1. The first goal was from Avdijaj or Goretzka (different names on different apps) and the winning by Konopliyanka.
pash
It seems Konopliyanka has been playing more often lately. Bad for us that he's no longer on the outs with their manager.

Dutch Eagle
Defender Abdul Rahman Baba tore his left anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Ghana at the Africa Cup. He will be out for months and thus will miss the games against PAOK. The other injured players at the moment are Breel Embolo, Coke, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Franco di Santo. pash
Schalke beat Hertha Berlin 2-0 at home today. Unfortunately for us, Jans-Klaas Huntelaar made his first appearance in three months...although the game ended five seconds after he entered. Just our luck that he's back in action just as we play them.
