Dutch Eagle Posted January 12 Posted January 12 PAO drew 2-2 away at Penserrakos and saw their keeper red carded. If the gavro clinch the title I hope there is another champion of the lower ranked countries with a higher coefficient as otherwise they would be rewarded with a direct spot in the LP after rebalancing as it is. 1

pash Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Olympiakos down to 10 men. About 35 minutes left to go at this point, they're winning 1-0. Not sure which result I'd prefer: a draw, or a Panathinaikos win? Both just became a bit more likely.

We need both of them to lose points if we want to achieve something in the league. #2 brings CL qualifiers too. #3 probably EL qualifiers depending on the winners and their final position in the league
pash Posted January 26 Posted January 26 (edited) We're in stoppage time now, 3 to go. Game remains 1-1 -edit- game ends 1-1. I like this. Oly 44 AEK 40 PAO 40 PAOK 37 It's not even February yet. We're gonna win the championship, just you wait. Edited January 26 by pash 1
pash Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) Olympiakos dropped points vs Asteras, 1-1 Aris-PAO currently 0-0, about five minutes to go until halftime AEK is hosting Panserraikos, game starts in about 15 minutes. Can we hope for upsets all the way through? -edit- Aris just scored. I have no fear of them catching us, so am pulling for a win by them. Edited February 9 by pash
Blackhawk Posted February 9 Author Posted February 9 Aris tie would have been better. They are just 3 points behind, and we will for sure lose to Olympiakos. The tie breaker is in their favor, so there is a good chance we will be out of the title play-offs.
pash Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I know that's what you think, but I'm the soothsayer over here, and I'm saying they will remain firmly behind us. 1
PaokCT Posted February 10 Posted February 10 PAOK Schedule : vs Lamia @ Oly vs Asteras @ Athens Aris Schedule : @ Levadiakos vs Panetolikos @ Volos vs AEK
PaokCT Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Pash is right. Aris dropped 3 points today . If we win today we go up 6
Blackhawk Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Which should be enough to secure 4th place going into the playoffs even if we lose next week against Olympiakos. We will have to self destroy ourselves not to make the playoffs.
pash Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Some of us have faith in our team, IF ONLY THAT WOULD BE CONTAGIOUS! 1 2
pash Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Aris won 2-1 vs Panaitolikos, Panathinaikos lost 3-1 vs Lamia (lol). AEK currently 0-0 at halftime vs Asteras Tripolis.
Dutch Eagle Posted February 26 Posted February 26 There is a massacre going on in Karaiskakis: The gavro are killing the chanoumises and lead 5-0 (!!!!!) after only 60 minutes ....... Edit: FT 6-0 The other semi of the cup: Asteras - OFI 0-1
pash Posted February 26 Posted February 26 So as long as either Oly or AEK win, third place is guaranteed to be EL? But if they don't win the final, then Aris gets screwed as the presumptive winner of that playoff (which I like), but third and fourth place both get conference league (which I don't like, and offers little meaning for our own efforts).
Blackhawk Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 In a perfect scenario, OFI wins the cup and goes to EL. We finish 2nd and try again our luck in CL. Aris wins the 5-8 place playoff and goes home empty handed. But as our luck goes this season we will be happy to clinch 4th place and UCL.
pash Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Ummm CORRECTION: The perfect scenario is we win first place and Olympiakos goes second. Agreed in that case OFI would get EL (though they'd get crushed in qualifying). Conference League is also probably out of AEK's league, but I'd rather they tire themselves out there then the mighty Aris, of course.
Dutch Eagle Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Alexis Kougias is no more. He died of cancer: https://inpaok.com/855700/ektakto-pethane-o-alexis-kougias/
Dutch Eagle Posted March 1 Posted March 1 O Aris drew 1-1 against Volos. If we win tomorrow we secure another European exodus on MD 25. Pana did secure it now after Oly and AEX did earlier.
