Irlandos
That was a giant team they faced (Cruyff and Co.) that I believe won another 2 Cup of Champions. I hope soon another Greek club can reach the heights of a European Cup final!

Panos13
I had a relative in Greece buy Sportime for me the last two Tuesdays. They included a CD of the European Poreia in 71. They feature interviews and extended highlights of earlier rounds. If you guys have connections in Greece who can send you them, do so and I reccommend it highly. Alternatively write to Sportime and see if they send you one.

I went looking to every little store and nobody had it. What exactly do they show on the dvd about the road to wembley. All the goals from all the games? Panos13
Panatha: Yes, more or less it's all the games leading to the final. Although the Final itself is not featured. They have taken clips from the various TV stations that covered it as the ERT station at the time had little coverage. It also includes extended highlights from the quarter-final against Everton which is the only piece in colour as it was taken from English TV. There is even more highlights from the semi-final win against Red Star at Leoforos. The only person interviewed is Tomaras who talks about the games. There is also an ERT documentary about the PAO players that was made before the final. It introduces the players and shows them at work, one is a lawyer (Domazos), one is an insurance broker (Antoniades) etc. and shows them in their personal life. It's a very interesting CD but I was a bit disappointed it wasn't very organised and it didn't introduce the clips very well. But as I said definitely worth having for a PAO fan. I am sorry you couldn't get it. Go to www.sportime.gr and email them. Tell them you couldn't get it in NY at the time and maybe they are kind enough to send you one. Good luck. Irlandos
Domazos a lawyer! :o Heavens no! That was Aristides Kamaras. Domazos owned a snack bar or two during the early days but I'm not sure as to what he is up to now. I don't believe "the General" has ever seen the inside of a high school in his life! Panos13
I may have confused it then. i will have to watch the CD again. I was born in 1971, a few month before the final. That was a great year for many reasons ;) I received the other issue of Sportime from last Tuesday. Haven't watched the CD yet but I think it's the final itself.
