Friendlies are reliant upon the International calendar..... player clean out??? karnezis,manolas, sokratis, k.pap, samaris, taxi, fetfa, karelis, mitro, ninis, fortounis, mandalos, kapino, will all be part of any rebuild and reload for WC 2020....SIMPLY THERE ARE NO OTHERS TO STEP UP.... The U21s lost 3-0 to Slovenia U21last month.....enough said.... Over and above the players I mentioned we then have Kolovos, Lagos, Klaus, Klonaridis, Bouchalakis, Fountas, Kaltsas, Petsos, Kourbelis, Oikonomou, Stafyllidis, Diamantakos, Siovas, Pelkas. There are simply no OTHER choices....... we are totally obliged to work with what we have.......and may be pinch hit with a few older guys like Holebas, Samaras, Aravidis,Kone, Torosidis for any given match... based on current club form, team balance and opposition. I have named 30+ players......sorry over and above that there are no others... Qualifiers come around very quickly....we have 4 more in this campaign to find confidence, a game plan, and springboard for 2018 WC qualifiers.....No need to sit around crying....the world won't stop for us...we will be in the next draw, and the next and the next and the next... Most of our players play in high standard leagues or have high exposure to UCL, Europa League opposition on a regular basis... EPO reforming the structure at youth level is a different story...yet something tells me that the Faroe Islands FA with a population of 49,000 has a far bigger task to work on regarding youth development than EPO does.... so common sense would then indicate our problems are elsewhere....with the players mental preparation and the coaching staff's inability to find a suitable game plan.. my son plays U7s.....and every week we come up against teams that play different styles, different sized pitches and different level of ability..yet the coaches adapt the game plan accordingly....so to do the 6YO KIDS....And we end up winning more games than we lose..........

we all need to sign up to watch us squeeze a win against San Marino.

well...... how on earth is Syriza or such a left leaning collective going to make these reforms... you see how tragic it is to say we need reforms but we are unable and unwilling to reform?

I had very good experiences with restauranteurs and cabbies etc....I8 found them very reasonable and friendly, generally speaking.. I also have no issues with a slight tariff on a tourist compared to a Greek......Cab fares, food, hotels are relatively cheap for a Western Foreigner....Those everyday prices are very cheap for me....to pay 10-20% extra does not bother me....I can afford it and it's much cheaper compared to other parts of western Europe or Melbourne... BUT ALL THIS HAS T BE WITHIN REASON.. For example if the Hotel room is at 40euro per night (for locals)...Charging me 45-55 is ok...not 100... @Bananas comments like Greeks can't be tamed are more harmful than useful.... so we accept and understand we have issues, yet we refuse to move forward.... that is actually quite disturbing and sad... this is where all the 'stereotypes' begin....we fuel the fire..

the issue is that we do not have a plan to create growth or jobs... we have a system that is deliberately not competitive... it is very simplistic not to understand the political pressure that is placed on political parties to 'govern in a certain way'. the collective are not in a 21st century mindset.... we do not encourage investment...therefore much needed jobs will never be created... the 'red tape' is there and protected by the people as much by government.... protected industries'....'hazardous jobs'??? early pensions, entire villages declared invalids? 'Asylo"????protected labour markets... we were told here that Bulgaria and Croatia have done ok...and we should follow in their footsteps.......Bulgaria have lost 20% of their population in the last decade...Does the 'greek lao' want Croatian and Bulgarian standards of living and labour laws? there is a complex web of inefficiency and total lack of imagination and creativity, lack of vision and business blueprint in the greek system that got us in this mess....way before the EU or others got involved... one only needs to listen to a few minutes of greek media to understand how misguided the 'lao' is.....the total lack of understanding of the 'evil capitalst ways' is glaringly scary.

no one is over looking the 'corrupt' and incompetent politicians....we have debated this issue many times.. the problem is that this deflects away (conveniently) the socio political problems that have been festering for 40 - 60 years... there is an unhealthy mind set psyche in Greek people that continually looks for these 'outside influences' instead of their own short comings... the former defence Minister pockets 50 million??? what's the point arguing when the tax man can't collect a cent....Or red tape stops me from opening up a business in a quick productive manner...... in a soccer analogy it would be like Andorra blaming a loss to Germany because the ref did not give them a penalty or two when the score finished 0-10.... The 10 year uni degree types are the ones who run media reporting and are all in government....they talk about 'Scandinavian social welfare systems'.... But have no idea how Denmark or Sweden collect tax or do business... until we realise there is no German/UK/USA/NATO/EU conspiracy plan to screw us over the better....

Kolovos and Fountas are quick attacking players with a lot of potential....Kolovos is not a baby anymore so maybe he's not developed the way we hoped? Tavlaridis is a 36yo CD...Had a good season at PAO and Atromitos but in reality has no place in this squad...what does he really bring to game v Faroe Islands....?? and what to the future??? Tasoulis would not get a game in the A League....So I have no idea why he;s anywhere near the NT??? Given the squad ....this is my XI ...............................Karnezis.................................
