I don't know about the form of Stafyllidis, Fetfa, Taxi, Lazaros, Mandalos.... I'd pick. Karnezis, Toro, Manolas, Sokratis,Holebas, Samaris,Fortounis, Mitro,Klaus, Kone, Karelis,Pelkas in the squad...the remainder on form.

I think 'new blood' is a very easy cliche to throw around.... most of our current crop are at their peak, age wise and career wise...we have players who play at the highest levels at the peak age of 22-28...... the only possible 'new blood' I would look at are Bouchalakis and Pelkas....because these are the positions that I believe we are hurting the most.

How can the guy be NT level, when you guys who see him every week in B and C division question his capabilities and qualities?

that's all good and well.... however it does not mean defending every single AEK player and thinking they should be in the NT...No matter if AEK fans themselves can see major deficiencies.... for example most osfp fans were against Giannoulis call up last season...we need to drop the opadika glasses when it comes to NT selections.

if you are going to bother to post at least get some facts right... Molde was in 1999 and Heerneven in 2000..Maccabi was in 2002..........so these results are not in the last 9 years.... Metalist and Dnipro are good sides with bigger budgets than all greek teams.. Dnipro made the final that season(last year)...we did beat Metalist away...and were minute away from a QF berth..and the score was 1-2 not 0-1... Heerneven we finished higher than them in that group....we did get 9 points that season... and any Dutch team that makes the UCL groups are no mugs... as we finished higher than Molde in the group to... Anorthosis did beat PAO 3-1....a few weeks after beating us....and went toe to toe with Inter and Werder that season... none of these results come near Qabala.....nor am I going to mention Maribor and Estoril, Aab. Copenhagen.....etc etc etc....Didn't Tel Aviv beat PAO 3-0 a year after they beat us 1-0?

lets hose down the 'aekisation' of these threads.....Aekism here is similar to monkeydoniasm .. Many of your fellow AEK posters questioned much about this guy over the last two seasons... I am not a big fan of dwarfs who have had a handful of good matches in lower leagues being included in the NT squad... a lot of the Aekism needs to just be relaxed in the NT context...

Giannoulis, Platellas, Tziolis and Vyntra have no place on this squad.... Bouchalakis, Pelkas, Stafyllidis should have got the nod..

interestingly this time two years ago we were in the same boat.... brand new team full of unknowns......that lost 1+4 at home to PSG.....I made the call in July-August 2013 that it was potentially our worst team ever.. Salino,Samaris, Tsori, Campbell, Olaitan were unknown to us... same last season...same again....this season.... I would love to have a stable core for 2-3 years to build a team on......it's not Marinakis fault.....too much money is being offered to us to refuse... We almost have a core at the moment.......Roberto, Omar, Mazuaku, Siovas, Botia, Maniatis, Tsori, Fortounis, Fuster. Milivojevic at least form a basis for our regular 18..... Pardo, Fingbonson seem highly rated......the foundations are there...however we could bomb out due to ;unknown' factors on how our best 11 will gel

if any club picks Vyntra or Kats at 35 on that logic then they are stupid
