I remember reading a post about the Greek teams in Australia by one of the posters that was very interesting. Therefore, I got the idea to make a topic dedicated to all the Greek teams in the diaspora. We can both bring up news concerning the teams or we can just share the clubs' Facebook links in order for them to get more likes, followers etc. I'm not sure about the criteria but I guess the clubs must have a Greek history and must be operated by Greeks. Here's some Swedish clubs: Akropolis IF - they are currently playing in "gamma ethiniki", where they finished 2nd after a Kurdish team last year. They went to play-off but unfortunately lost both the even games. History: the club was established in 1968 by the Greek society of Stockholm. Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/akropolis.if/?fref=ts Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/akropolisif/ Apollon Solna: Established in 2009. As you can see by looking at their badge, they are co-operating with Apollon Kalamaria. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Apollon-Solna-FK-404391006411137/?fref=ts Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/apollonfk/ IF Alexander den store (Sport Association Alexander the Great): Not many Greek players in the team but it's operated by the Greek Society of Helsingborg. As Apollon, they don't have a professional team and they play in the lowest division. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IfAlexanderDenStore/?fref=ts Be sure to like them and show them your support! Don't forget to post if you know any teams in the diaspora! :D1 point

If Savvidis want to be really cynical (or clever) and assuming he truly knows the refereeing is corrupt but just can't quite prove it, his best course of action is to find 100 of the biggest prezonia PAOK has to offer (now that would be an interesting competition since I'm sure we have many suitable candidates) and pay them to be fake Olympiakos supporters in Athens. Get them to make trouble and get the game abandoned in Athens. Go on Savvidis, have a go ya mug!1 point

This is exceedingly sad. I think a Grexit from UCL and UEFA football for a year, or two years, until Greek Soccer is uprooted and reformed would be fine. The EPO and KED should be dismantled and remade entirely. We don't need foreigners to step in and police us, we as Greeks need to show the mettle needed to reform our lives - in and out of sport.1 point

Lets see if Savvidis sticks to his word and PAOK don't go for 2nd leg, that would be a big statement1 point

Funny you should say young and dumb - I was just reading an article a few days ago that spoke of how young men are especially predisposed to becoming extremists. It doesn't take much to become a hooligan - I'm not even that far out from what I assume are the ages of the people tossing chairs, so I kind-of get it. We've all been that age. But we just need to be clear here: it is not acceptable to do this stuff. One more time? It is not acceptable. Yeah, but - NO, it is not acceptable. Hey Pash, is it cool to riot? No, stranger, it is not. It is really really really simple. But they're winning a game! DO NOT RIOT YOU IDIOTS But it's like they're insulting us!!!!1!!111!!one!!!! STILL NO EXCUSE.1 point

Those "fans" are barbarians and no fans. They cost us more than al the p*****es. And Mak should not have spitted (I heard it also on the radio). It was a clear penalty, and yes he was mad about that, but he should not spit.1 point

Do you really think that the focus will be at the referee after tonight's game? Or will it be at the monkeys that threw flares for 40 minutes straight? We can blame the diaitisia for many things, but in the end of the day it's the fans (some hundred of 25 000) that will give them a 0-3 win. It's the "fans" that will give us a point-deduction and it's the fans that scare away the families and the children from the stadium. I don't have anything against pyro and I'm actually burning in the stands myself, but I'm 100% against throwing flares onto the pitch and screwing my team. The flares should be kept in the stands and not be thrown in some act of trying to mimic the afghanis running around in the suburbs of Athens. You want Savvidis to take care of the referee problems? We will have greater problems than that when Savvidis is tired of being embarrassed by the fans and leaves.1 point

What did I miss?? There are Oly fans saying that there were 2 penalties not given to them in this match....Did I miss some things? The fans may be to blame...but let me say this: If I was in Greece, in my early 20's unemployed, and fed up with the s%$#! we saw today, there is no way in hell I wouldn't have been one of those guys rushing the field, except, I would have opened the ref's head. Not a lame karate kick you see these chickens doing....I would have hunted him down, chased him down and cracked his melon wide open. That was then....Kids and a wife made me a semi-civilized human being.1 point

Olympiakos is nothing special defensively. We need to keep pressure on their defense, and I am sure we can score at least one more goal. Unfortunately the goal they scored is not good for our chances.1 point

Everytime an Olympiakos player is touched, it's a foul.1 point

Nick// Just found this old clip on Youtube. How do the Greek fans perform today? Have many left for the plastic A-league or do the Greek clubs still attract big crowds?1 point
