AEKARA-YIA-PANTA
Dear AEK Management, Please try to explain the following moves and decisions that were made in the summer of 2007 and during this season: Moras, Chiotis, Cirillo, Kyriakidis, Hetemaij, Ivic, Lakis, Pautasso and Kambadais......all GONE. Ferrer brings in his own players: Ramos, Arruabarena, Rivaldo, Nsaliwa, Alves, Rivaldo, Moretto. Talented GREEK youth being wasted by sitting on the bench: Pappas, Kone, Pliatsikas, Papastathopolous (beginning of season), Pavlis A game changing performer who doesn't even play anymore: Julio Cezar It's a simple as this. Look at who left, and look who came in. When healthy, please play Georgeas over Arruabarena. Please bring back Moras over Alves, Nsaliwa or Ramos. Look at how poor our defense plays. Cirillo was the heart and soul of the team. His absence is being felt with the lack of marking. Also, would you please play Lagos in his right position for once, as he isn't a left fullback. I've said this from the beginning of the season and i'll keep saying it to the end.....Ferrer has screwed up the future of this team by not playing the youth. Most importantly, we have talented Greek youth, but we opt to search for players from Portugal and Spain who are not cutting it for this team. Demis, grow a pair, sack Ferrer and limit the playing time of Rivaldo. I'm tired of watching this crap every week. The Protathlima isn't over yet, but i'm afraid that the players in the locker room are losing respect for their coach and the decisions he makes. Sincerely, An Angry AEK Supporter
Kolokotronis
Some people really need to put down the crack pipe. Moras over Alvez? Chiotis over Moretto? Cirillo left becuase of the 700K renewal option in his K. Unless of course YOU have that extra 700K to give Mr. Bruno. Not to mention that he was a cancer in the clubhouse. Kyriakidis? Did you get a chance to see him play last year? He was God awful. Does anyone with a sound mind not think NSaliwa is better? Hetemaj? Exactly when did you see him play last year or this year where you can make an assessment that he should stay? He showed absolutely NOTHING in his two years at AEK, yet we still retain his rights. And where, and in whose place, would you play him? Ivic? again, you have to be kidding me, right? Did you watch AEK at all last year? Even for a minute? Ivic was simply beat out by Toszer, who has had to sit because of Rivaldo. How hard is that to comprehend? Where the hell would you play Ivic this year? Lakis? Oh for Gods sake! I've heard just about everything. He was one of AEK's worse last year. Heck, he can't even start for PAOK THIS year. Gimme a break. Pautasso? Again, I really question whether or not you actually watch any of the games. You would rather have Pautasso than Ramos???????????????????????? Kambadais was a third striker, at best. We replaced him with a better option in Blanco. Unless of course you think Blanco isn't better than Leo, in which case... I rest MY case. Talented youth sitting on the bench? Papastathopoulos sat early in the season simply cause he wasnt ready, having come off the Neon Euro championships. Seriously, do you follow AEK at all? Kone? Exactly whose position would Kone take? Ribo? Lybe? And how well has he done this year in the matches he HAS played? Pliatsikas is really a DM, where we have two veterans-NSaliwa and Zikos. And he wasn't all that great last year when given the opportunity. Pappas is not a kid anymore, and he has been given chances. Pavlis is 17 years old. What part of that don't you understand? And who would you sit so he can play? Blanco, Lybe? Game changing performer Julio Cezar? Now I'm thoproughly convinced you don't watch AEK at all. He has been absolutely ABYSMAL this year. He was given the starting position early on, and flat out lost it. Time for him to go. Georgeas has been injured, and isn't that good anyways. Strictly backup material. Cirillo the heart and soul of the team? More like a cancerous growth on a lymph node. AEK's defense was amongst the best in the league until the Dellas and Papastathopoulos injuries. The fact is, AEK's defense has been playing without two starters for the last couple of weeks where it has conceded some ridiculous goals. Exactly where do you want to play this youth, especially with veterans like Ribo, Zikos, Dellas, and Lybe in the side? There are only 11 positions on the field. Tell me YOUR starting 11. Lagos has been at LB because Arra has been injured. Now if you want to tell me AEK's management erred in not acquiring an extra backup fb, or an extra backup cb, or an extra striker, yes, I'll agee. But some of this other stuff you suggest is purely nonsense. Moras over Ramos? Please, get a hold of yourself.
AEKARA-YIA-PANTA
Again, maybe you need to watch AEK play a little more closely. Ramos the last string of matches has been absolutley terrible. As far as Arruabarena, i'd rather have Tziortopolous, and use the high salary of Arra on another player. How many chances has Kone had this year??????????? Nsaliwa is terrible at midfield, where all our problems stem from. You better believe i'd rather have Kyriakidis or Ivic there than Nsaliwa. Tell me what's so wonderful about Manduca??? How is he so much better than Cesar??? Is Manu soooo much better than Cesar???? NO! Maybe you need to watch AEK a little more closely this year compared to previous seasons my friend. Ferrer wanted to clean house and bring in his own players. All i'm saying is the people he's brought in aren't anything to go crazy over. They are average, at best. I'm telling you, Moras was a star in the making at AEK. Alvez, Ramos,Arruabarena, Nsaliwa aren't HUGE improvements to what we already had.
Guest TheLegend
If cezar is a game changing performer rivaldo is one as well.... They both cant compete the whole game but Rivaldo can give the 1 pass the nice shot or the free kick to get a goal... Cezar hasnt done well this year at all.. That free kick last year for Milan proved nothing as that was a lucky free kick... Rivaldo is much better to be on the feild than him
nightsurfer
I also see it rather like Kolokotronis.... In my view the problems of AEK All by chronological order 1. After analysing Ferrer for some time now....... Ferrer is a GAMBLER....... an addicted one This is AEK's biggest problem There are family fathers when they get the salary..they go to a casino and put all the money on red or black.... Ferrer could be one of them. This is our biggest problem....after analysing some line set-up and tactics the last 18 months.... 2. It was from the beginning my opinion...... To sell Lyberopoulos to Nuernberg for 2.1 Milion Euro this are around 3 Mio. USD....and to invest this money to decent player/s Not to take Rivaldo...another slow and old player, who costs a lot of money... Also this money could have been invested in younger and faster players. In order to practise a contempary football. 3. There is no need to take all unwanted players from Benfica and Oly Don't we have some fantasy... there are also other players around. 4. And last but not least The Greek Football is corrupt... Did you see today Panionios - Oly (1st half) So compare the game AEK - Panionos and Panionios - Oly....

I'm telling you, Moras was a star in the making at AEK. Alvez, Ramos,Arruabarena, Nsaliwa aren't HUGE improvements to what we already had. Ramos always has been a mediocre defensive player. That being said, he was our best player this season up until a few weeks ago.Very easy to Monday morning quarterback, but why weren't you saying this stuff a month or so ago about Ramos? Same thing for Arrabuarena. Were you questioning this decision in th summer, or did you become an after the fact prophet just now? I liked Tzio, but he was even worse defensively than Ramos is. How could Demi have possibly known Arra would have been this mediocre? Were you questioning Arra's acquisition in the summer when we made it? Sometimes management makes the right decision, and the player simply doesn't perform. Has that ever occured to you? What chance are you going to give Kone? He can either play CAM or a withdrawn second striker. So who are you going to bench so he can play? Ribo? Lybe? Heck, even Toszer is ahead of him on the depth chart. What formation would you use that would incorporate Kone, Lybe, AND Ribo? Your problems in the midfield are the lack of widthe created by the flank players and the rather slow tempo of Ribo in the middle. It's not really the DM's. Once again, Kyriakidis was simply awful last year. And Ivic is NOT a DM. Never was, never will be. Heck, he has a hard time satarting for Aris. Moras a star in the making? Well how long was he "in the making"? I believe he was at AEK for 4 or 5 years. How long are we supposed to wait? As my father used to tell me when I would remind him Rome wasn't built in a day, "it didn't take a goddamned century either". Vaggeli was very skilled, but also had a high center of gravity and lacked physical strength, thus making him a defensive liability. Thats why he's in Serie B now. And hardly playing. Manduca, as average as he's been this year, still won you two games. And he's your most versatile mf, fwd. Cesar has beeen God awful. And he can only play LEFT wing. He was handed a starting job and lost it, fair and square. what did yous ee from him the first couple of months he was starting that justifies keeeping him in the lineup? He's an impact player only against small teams. Manu plays on the OPPOSITE side. Can you tell the difference between your right and left? And in any event, he doesn't start either. Genome
I can see that although of course not every AEK fan that is engaged with these groups is scum. And I don't know if sacking Ferrer now is the good decision, I rather think not, at least not now. But if Demis was absolutely convinced that he had to go, then the fan groups should not play a role, at all... whether it makes them think they had a say in it or not ('cause if he was to keep Ferrer because he didn't want them to think they had influence, they eventually also would've influenced the whole deal, although not in a way they wanted... (Thomas theorem etc ...))

Sincerely, An Angry AEK Supporter well, you got your wish...as they say, be careful for what you ask for, you just may get it. let's see how the kostenoglou era works out. demis wants to isolate the influence and power that various 'aek fan groups' have. i know these people are very happy today, with ferrer's sacking. if the govt. gave out free heroin and tripled the money for unemployment checks, those groups would be in ecstasy. sacking ferrer only gives these scum reason to think they actually influenced and had a hand in this decision.
