BARCA! BARCA! BARCA!

My @##%^ Christ! What a goal by Ronaldinho. Excuse me for posting out of topic but this goal is un-f@cking-believable. I will remember it as the best goal in the last 5 (or maybe 10?) years. Of course, I'm entitled to my opinion.

This is the nature of the real football. Compare it what crap-soccer english and other north european teams play. Modern football has degraded to running and running and running. Fitness and tactics over technique and inspiration. "Ergates" players over geniuses and wizards. Brazil, show them how you are still ruling the game!

Let's hope that, on Thursday, our latins will show an (even distant) resemblance to what Ronaldinho offered us today...

Freeze: you'll blend in nicely with the rest of the vazelines in here, their IQ count resembles yours. Welcome aboard re voidi

Spectacular goal from Ronaldinho, overall very nice match.Barca controlled the match, but that dreaded first half was too much, even for Barcelona.

BTW: What happened at the end with that scuffle ? Luckily the rest of the english teams are out (man u) and arsenal is just waiting for the boot tomorrow

Chealsea was very fortunate to win this game

they were up 3-0 in the first 20 mins

but barcelona had a million chances and the ball just wouldn't go in the net

i hate chealsea b/c there not that great ppl make them out to be

mourinho gets all the ###### breaks

Its funny but I was thinking of opening up a topic like that...

Nobody can argue the class of Ronaldinho's goal... Goals like that make football a great sport. Also matches like these are great to watch for a neutral fan and lover of fantesie football (or sexy football as Gullit called it...).

BUT the bottomline is as Freeze stated it (very directly).... Evryone will remember Ronaldinho's goal in years to come, but you know what will be remembered most? The team that actually WON the trophy!!!

I mean think of this... Milan played with a world class team similar to Chelsea (Man Utd)... I was convinced (as many people who watch football regularly) that milan won't even sweat to throw Man Utd out of the competition... And you know why? Because these people are looking the OUSIA rather than the takounakia and the fancy goals...

Yesturday Barca started the match very offensively... I couldn't understand why? Chelsea was defending and suddently thre attacks led to three goals!!!! Then Richaard had the luck (with a little magic from Ronaldinho) to change the match around... And yet 3-2 Barca qualifying at the moment, but you see them again attacking like crazy..... Of course speaking after the result is easy (bearing in mind that if Eto's scored in the empty goal in the 70th minute the match would have been 3-3 and ANTE GEIA for Murinhio and Chelsea), but nobody can convince me that this was the right approach to such a match....

I love football and nice goals and open games are nice to watch, but excuse me I prefer RESULTS!!!! If I was a Barca fan I would prefer to have thrown Murinio-scum out of the competition with a 0-0 cantenaccio horrible game to watch, rather than having Ronaldinhio scoring an amazing goal that led me to the couch of my house.... :P

FORZA MILAN & JUVE!!!! :nw:

barca isnt able to play the way you say pappou. their strength is their offense. if you are close to your target and want to get on to the next round what would you relie on? your strength or your weakness?

they did the right thing yesterday, but were also a little bit unlucky. colina also made two wrong decisions: first, it was a foul on eto'o and barca could have been given a penalty for that and second, there was a foul on valdes when chelsey made their fourth goal. both actions could have been decided in another way and that would have changed the outcome of the match.

I think you are right... You can't actually blame them for the way they KNOW how to play... Barca is traditionally an attacking team, and indeed they were very unlucky yesturday... I too think it was a foul on the goalie, and Eto missed a great chance to score the 3rd goal and end the game....

P.S. By the way, you prefer Murinio-scum over our beloved Milan and Juve?

You have to give some credit to these teams. It is amazing how the always accomplish getting the positive result.... It is in their blood....

Although I think Juve will have a tough night today with no Nedved... ;)

That Ronaldinho goal was fantastic!!!, and speaking of great goals, did anyone watch the Juventus-Real Madrid matchup, Trezuget's goal was amazing!!!! Ibrahimavic headed it perfectly to trezuguet for the goal, and he was on the GROUND!!!!!, if anyone has a clip of this please post it for everyone to see.

I dont really criticise the way Barca came out to play like that. those goals were pretty hard to stop if you think about it and I think on any other day they would have won

Milan however is an incredible team; I dont have a problem with the 'defensiveness' of Italian teams but Milan isnt that defensive in my mind anyway. I love to watch a team like this; Kaka, Pirlo, Sheva play football the most advanced level..........english football doesent come close to this. Id watcht he serie A over the EPL anyday because I want to watch football at its best

Brazlians are something special aswell; look at the amount of brazilians Milan has. If the english want to save their league then they have to bring in brazilians; the statistic was something like 3 Brazlians in EPL compared to 50 in Serie A

Its not only the english league that suffers but their players too. their technique just cant match up to the best NTs in the world. Greek players have better technique if you ask me

:nw: MILAN :nw: ETHNIKI ELLADOS :nw: - top of the world :P

I agree with all you guys in what you say about Milan... Milan is probably the best team... But there is only one team that can challenge them in it is JUVE!!!!

Only an Italian team can beat another Italian team.. Yesturday after the hard-core porno with the win over Real I am convinced that no Brazilian can bring the thing that matters most in football.... OY SI A !!!! Another Brazilian (Ronaldo) will be watching the CL from his couch while Nedved, Cannavaro :nw: , Nesta, Malidini and the rest of the Italian company will be playing in the CL final.... :nw: :nw:

By the way have you realised that the draw on Friday will definetely show an ITALIAN - ENGLISH battle? with 3 Italian teams and 2 English teams it is a mathematical certainty that at least one pair will be ITALIAN - ENGLISH...

Any thoughts?

I hope for a Milan - Chelski match so that Mourinio goes home to join his couch...

Couldn't disagree more about the "ousia". Of course, it is a matter of personal taste. This mentality is exactly what has converted football to a boring game of tactics, fitness and dopping. Europeans have almost killed football. What would you expect from cold-blooded self-disciplined people without fantasy and temper ? (overgeneralizations here but you get my point)

after each mundial, people complain for dull games and lack of goals. Almost all teams use conservative tactics, 1-0 is the usual result. No wonder why Brazil has fanatic fans worldwide.

People are constantly move away of soccer and this is one of the main contributing factors. Magic is lost. This sport will end up like basketball, a sum of statistics and precisely counted time frames :(

you must only be talking about club football considering what Brazilians have done in a Brazil shirt

I disagree it at club football as well; Milan would struggle without all its Brazilians and flareful dutch

Juve would be lost without Emerson but if you only mean attacking players then Brazlians dont have to prove themselves anymore anyway; Adriano, Ronaldo usually gets it done, Kaka, Cafu.

A team might need to defend but if you have Ronaldinho then its not up to him to defend; theres room for both types of players in a team and in fact to be a great team you MUST have both types of players

AND BY THE WAY, RONALDINHO IS MY FAVORITE PLAYER, SO JUST LIKE THE OTHER IDIOT MENTIONED ABOVE, YOU CAN ALSO BLOW ME......
