paokarag4 Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Once again we waste the first half before an improved 2nd half. Those 2 chances missed at the end, I mean what can you say really..... We were lucky not to concede and have to thank Pavlenka for another huge performance (MVP for me today) but once again, especially in the 2nd half we created more than enough to come away with the 3 points. I guess on the balance of the game a draw is relatively fair. The game could've just as easily ended up 3-1, 2-2 or 0-1. 1
PAOKARA Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM We have been poor in all games, bar the home game vs Rijeka this season. So stale, yet Lucescu keeps rolling out the same lineup, no matter what.

If they gave Giakoumakis half these chances we would have won. Instead he had to play the whole game basically out of position just to win some possession with how horrible we looked in the first half. Giakoumakis was on for most of the game and did nothing...

He did not play well either but we also were not in providing him with any service compared to when Chalov came on. I think he still needs time to gel with the team but anything is better than Chalov up front. 1
paokarag4 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The noise is getting louder that FIFA/UEFA may ban Israeli teams from European/International competitions. UEFA would not want to do this, given the European season has started and we have already played Maccabi, it would complicate things massively. For that reason, I don't think they will do it, despite all the public pressure. BUT if it were to happen would they award as a 3-0 win for the game yesterday? Obviously a lot of water to go under the bridge, but I think if they tried to let the result stand then award Maccabi's other opponents walkover victories, we would probably have grounds to appeal to CAS. I don't normally get swept in this stuff until it's official, but as it could potentially directly impact PAOK and this result I thought it was worth mentioning.
pash Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The (guess, I'll admit) that I read earlier was that it would be for next season. So they'd be banned from the WC and these club international competitions, like Russia...but would presumably continue on this season. That said, I can't imagine this will go through - Trump would go ballistic and they would not risk the WC...
PaokCT Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I saw something like if it happens this year, the results they currently have would remain. But then they would take the average amount of some points and relay it to the games they have not yet played? Not sure.
