PAOKSYD
I would like young paok players from the b team and players who have not played much this year to get as many games for the rest of the play offs. As for me only 4 games matter now until the end of the season. * Quarter Finals Conference League * Semi finals Greek Cup. I would love for players like: Tsaousis, Koutsias, Kouleriakis, Tachlimanidis & which other hopefuls we have get as much game time as possible to see if we can find our next diamond as lets be real second place is ours in the league regardless of the results upcoming..
Dutch Eagle
Must not forget to finish second or third in SL. Otherwise the European succes goes through the drain. Koulierakis must be in the squad as a backup for the CB position. Crespo to injured to play on Sunday. But agree that youngsters should play if there is no pressure to collect points.
pash
If the SL maintains its #15 ranking, the difference between 2nd and 3rd places becomes relevant again, right? I am all for trying the youngsters but only after we've locked down 2nd place.
Athens4
2nd place gets Champions League QF2. 3rd and 4th place go to the Conference League QF2. The cup winner goes to the Europa League QF3.

If Greece holds #15 #2 of SL season 2022/2023 will enter Q2 CL League Path.
pash
So my assumption was shifted up by a year. D'oh!
Blackhawk
There is a push by some in media to re-activate Varela now that Crespo is injured. I would rather give the youngster from 'B' team a chance. Varela is not even practicing with the 'B' team Going into this game there will need to be some rotation as far as starting lineup is concerned. the good thing is that Kurtic and Zivkovic will play. pash
Crespo says in his post-game interview that it's a minor thing, and they just didn't want to risk aggravating it. What a step back it would be, calling up the one CB on the roster who did not improve as the year went on. Mihaj absolutely deserves to be starting. Even if we want to rest Ingason - isn't dropping the new kid into this kind of situation exactly what Boto said about pushing the youngsters? 😉
PAOKSYD
Let Varela rot! Give the kids a go! Why is it ok for bigger teams in tougher leagues to do this but for us its a no go! Edited March 18, 2022 by PAOKSYD

pash
At least one of the sites is saying that Minaj also is injured and so won't be used at all. Say it ain't so. If I see him on the bench while Varela starts I'm starting a forest fire damn it
pash
Two more players with the 'rona (in addition to El Kaddouri, presumably). Perhaps some forced rotation after all.

Dutch Eagle
Yep. Agree on that, Blackhawk. No rhythm for Varela. Will be a tough one today so I’ll be happy with a draw.
Blackhawk
Draw will be good. We don't want them to get any hopes for 2nd place.
Blackhawk
Augusto out of squad as well. We also don't have a backup CB since the youngster was with the B team in Xanthi.
