Thomas out for a week, so he'll probably miss the second leg vs Shamrock Rovers (though I would not have expected him to play anyway). He'll obviously also miss tomorrow's match vs Panaitolikos.

Thomas is still out with his injury. MRI was negative, but he is still hurting.

Tsiftsis is also out with undisclosed injury, which will probably sideline him for a while.

Zivkovic is out for 4-6 weeks. Terrible news...

If Lucescu is smart, he'll finally start playing Tissoudali as a winger. You know, instead of loaning him to the Saudis.

Pffff. Always a bad timing but we will miss him for sure against Slavia and Sociedad.

It's criminal that Despodov doesn't get more game time anyway, so hopefully he proves me right here!

From what I heard it's not PAOK that initiated the loan talks. It was Tissoudali himself that came to PAOK with the offer from Saudi Arabia, which means that he has no intentions staying around.

The Zivkovic injury is a big blow. Hopefully Despodov can fully cover the position. If we don't make a transfer move for the position, I foresee Vieirinha getting some extra time in that position to give Despodov some breathing room.

Vieirinha should be getting time in that position, as an occasional sub. He doesn't have the legs to be a LB/RB...at least as a winger, he could contribute. But yeah if Tissoudali is on his way out, clearly we'll be picking up another guy. A bigger worry is if Despodov gets exhausted or injured.

On the plus side: more time for Shola, I'd hope.

He's already practicing with the team, but only gets playing time with the 'B' team. However right now he is one of the many players on the 'B' team that is fighting the flu and probably won't be available for Sunday.

What is it with that "flu"? Who can we blame? The nutricians? Marinakis? EPO? Our doctors? I do not see measures taken by the club to terminate this for ever or even find the source.

Ouch. Feels like we're picking up a lot of injuries lately. I'm guessing the training this refers to is with the senior team.

Since Lucescu shot Gomez's potential development in the head, even if he recovers soon I'm sure that means we'll see Vieirinha get a bunch of starts.

But I guess Vieirinha gets a start in one of the upcoming games for his farewell. I can't see him play in the play-offs against the POK.

Jonny will probably miss 3 to 4 weeks, which basically means that he played his last game for PAOK yesterday.

Vieirinha will get some playing time going forward. Also I would hope Lucescu gets his head out of his ass and give Gomez and Tsaousis some playing time to help out Sastre, Vieirinha and Baba with some rest for the remainder of the season.

Otto out 4-6 weeks. Schwab also hurt, but it seems to be minor, expected to be out of training only a few days.

Zivkovic hurt again, this time his knee. Perhaps we rushed him back too early. Hopefully this doesn't get worse.

Don't think it had anything to do with coming back early. He received a kick by a teammate to the same knee during practice just like last time. I would really like to find out who did the kicking to the knee in both cases.

But yeah I'm guessing it's Baba or Michailidis in those half-field "scrimmages." Would line up with who would be most likely to defend against him.

Kafeino time, 100% it was Despodov! He is sick of riding the bench while he watches Zivkovic start every game. He is trying to maximise his minutes.
