Dutch Eagle Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Today was the draw for the first and second round. PAOK is in group 2 with Levadiakos, Apollon Pontou (a.k.a. Apollon Kalamaria) and the winner of the only tie in the first round between Veria and Aiginiakos.
Dutch Eagle Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 First round to be played 19/20 and 29/30 of August. But they are talking right now that the games could be played one wek later. Do not know the reason of that. MD 1 of the group-stage will be the September 19/21 (thus in the middle of the week in between SL games. #1 and #2 of each group (there are 8 groups) advance to the third round (or last 16 if you prefer that kind of terminology).
Blackhawk Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 PAOK's schedule: September 19-21, 2017: PAOK - Levadeiakos (no fans) October 24-26, 2017: Apollon pontou - PAOK November 28-30, 2017: winner Aiginiakos/Veroia - PAOK
BostonThanatos Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 This should be 9 points, slam dunk. Anything else is absolute rubbish.
pash Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I foresee no problems, this is also well within the honeymoon period. Much more worried about those last two matches we have without fans before the first derby. Fingers crossed - we'll see very soon how the team looks. Hopefully we utterly demolish the Swedes.
BostonThanatos Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 That would go a long way with the "gkriniarides"
Blackhawk Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Should be like last season. Win the first two games and then play the "kids" in the last game.
Dutch Eagle Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 We have Aiginiakos in the cup. They won 1-0 at home. Lost 2-1 away in Veria. 2-2 on aggregate, but Aiginiakos scored an awaygoal.
italosPAOK4 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 kalh xronia kai fetos sto kupello na exoume ki ena teliko me gayro OAKA
Yiankos Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 The truth is that I would love another Cup. I didn't really celebrate last one.
Tahma Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Couldn't agree more with you on this one ^ I felt like if we had won in 2014 against PAO that would have felt proper.
Dutch Eagle Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Our first cup-game will be on September 20th, 18:15 EEST. We will play Levadiakos at home. No fans allowed due to our ban.

pash Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Do we know yet when the next game will be scheduled?
Blackhawk Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 October 24, 25 or 26. My guess is that it will be October 26, since we play Tripoli on Monday October 30.
pash Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 But no word on when the final decision will be made? I have way too much vacation time to use up and nothing to use it for. So an all-day bender sounds like it'll hit the spot.

Blackhawk Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 If I was Kalamaria Pontou I would switch the game to be played at Toumba. PAOK fans would get a chance to see their team at home, and Pontos would reap the financial benefit.
Blackhawk Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 The game against Aiginiakos was scheduled for November 29 at 15:00 EET at Katerini, but it's very likely it will not be played as the Aiginiakos owner went on radio today saying he is done and will fold the team and withdraw from the Football League. Remains to be seen if he does it before the cup game against us, or will wait to get the revenue from that game first.
pash Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Read today that this game will take place at Kaftanzoglio after all. So, essentially a home game.
Blackhawk Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 The problem is that on the same day and same hour, there is a 3rd division game scheduled at the same stadium (Iraklis - against some team I can't remember). Something's gotta give. The grannies are already complaining that it was done on purpose. Just play the freaking game at Toumba!
Dutch Eagle Posted November 21, 2017 Author Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) Iraklis - Aris Paleochoiriou is postponed to the 30th so our match will be as scheduled on November 29th at Kaftanzogliou. Edited November 21, 2017 by Dutch Eagle
Blackhawk Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 The draw for the Round of 16 is scheduled for December 4. The 8 group winners will be seeded in the draw and will play one of the 2nd place teams. Only two 2nd place teams need to be determined. So far we have: SEEDED TEAMS OFI PAOK AEK Atromitos Olympiakos AO Xanthi Panionios Panathinaikos UNSEEDED TEAMS Platanias Chania Apollon Pontou / Levadeiakos PAS Lamia AO Trikala Asteras Tripoli Ergotelis / Panaitolikos / Panserraikos PAS Giannina AE Larisa The Round of 16 games will be played in mid-December.
pash Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Asteras and Giannina are probably the toughest of those teams, maybe throw Lamia in that group as well. We should still make it to the next round, though. Those games might be the last time we see a few players.
