What happened to the other music thread (60's-90's). Kind of pointless to concentrate just on the 90's, which was nothing special IMHO.

I believe the person who started the topic has been exiled, and with him go his posts? Could be wrong, but this is the case I think.

yeah, that's the reason.

I edited the title  into "music nostalgia" to be more inclusive, but if you want the original I'd be happy to oblige.

By the way, Trainspotting was  good movie. I like Ewan McGregor.

The original is my all time #1! When the sequel opens here in my market I will surely soil myself. As for the topic title, good call!

This week, sadly, two music legends died. Chuck Berry, who arguably was the father of rock and roll, even before Elvis was cool.

....

And, the second one was James Cotton

RIP Chuck Berry and James Cotton. Both pioneers, Berry in rock & roll and Cotton in blues. Loved both their music throughout the years.

Here one of my favorites: Dan HIcks & the Hot Licks in 'I Scare Myself' - A live performance at San Francisco's Warfield Theater. Where, reunited with virtually every musician he had ever recorded with, Dan celerbrated his 60th birthday in style on December 9, 2001.

Florian Schneider, one of the founding fathers of Kraftwerk, died at the age of 73 from cancer. A big loss as he was an inspiration for many others in music.
