Blackhawk Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 I believe we will lose big on Sunday. Hope I am wrong.
BostonThanatos Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I don't know about big...but I dont see us winning. Who do we even have left to play?
Blackhawk Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 I don't know about big...but I dont see us winning. Who do we even have left to play? Well Berbatov is out, but Mak is back. As far as I know no other injured players are expected to come back. Also Leovac and Mystakidis who played last Sunday were not completely ready either.
pash Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Is that why Leovac was pulled off? I thought he was doing well up until that point.
teke817 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 @Blackhawk - I don't think the stat that PAOK is 5-15-51 against PAO is correct. When I looked it up it seems we have 5 wins in the prior 12 meetings. 2015-10-25 Superleague Greece PAOK 3-1 Panathinaikos 2015-03-08 Superleague Greece Panathinaikos 4-3 PAOK 2014-11-09 Superleague Greece PAOK 1-2 Panathinaikos 2014-02-09 Superleague Greece Panathinaikos 2-1 PAOK 2013-10-06 Superleague Greece PAOK 2-1 Panathinaikos 2013-03-17 Superleague Greece PAOK 2-0 Panathinaikos 2012-11-18 Superleague Greece Panathinaikos 2-0 PAOK 2012-03-03 Superleague Greece Panathinaikos 0-2 PAOK 2011-10-29 Superleague Greece PAOK 1-3 Panathinaikos 2011-02-05 Superleague Greece PAOK 0-1 Panathinaikos 2010-10-15 Superleague Greece Panathinaikos 1-0 PAOK 2010-02-20 Superleague Greece PAOK 2-1 Panathinaikos
teke817 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Seriously .. Made me feel like we are OFI instead of PAOK. Good article from 10/25/2015 detailing the history of PAOK-PAO: http://www.onsports.gr/Podosfairo/Podosfairo-Afierwmata/item/506339-PAOK-Panathinaikos-Mahi-gia-62i-fora This will be the 63rd meeting according to Onsports, and PAOK is 31-12-19 at home vs PAO. They do not reference our away record, but I am sure its horri-awful. Interesting stat - in the prior 63 meetings only 4 games ended without a goal.

My stats are only for the away games, since that's what Sunday's game is. 1

teke817 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 @Blackhawk - ok that makes a ton more sense. @pash - like a true paoktsi, I build you up, just to tear you down. 1
Blackhawk Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 And when we do, the refs take it away. 1
Blackhawk Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Korovesis is back practicing, so he might be able to help. Also Vitor is out due to the red card he got against Iraklis, so I expect Malezas to get a chance.
Blackhawk Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 I mentioned Malezas above, but I am fairly sure that Tudor will play Tzavellas instead as CB. I also hope Mystakidis is able to play. Otherwise we have no offense to speak off. Possible lineup: ---------------------- Vellidis ---------------------- Kitsiou - Chatziisaias - Tzavellas - Leovac -------- Cimirot --------------- Kace ------------- Mystakidis ------ Pelkas ------------- Golasa ----------------------- Mak -------------------------
pash Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 All things considered, that's not a bad lineup. One or two more injuries, and we can just forfeit the entire rest of the season.
Blackhawk Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 If we by a miracle don't lose on Sunday that will be a big bonus. We have a very important game next week against Tripoli. That will be a must win game. Hopefully some of the injured players will be slowly returning. Following the Tripoli game we have a fairly easy (on paper) games until the rest of the season. That should be enough to collect points to place us in the top five. Then in the playoffs anything is possible.
Blackhawk Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 Tudor is apparently going with a 3-5-2 formation: ----------------=------- Vellidis ----------------------- --- Chatziisaias ---- Malezas ---- Tzavellas --- Kitsiou - Cimirot - Pelkas - Charisis - Leovac ------------ Mak ---------------- Mystakidis --------
PAOKSWEDEN Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Tudor is apparently going with a 3-5-2 formation: ----------------=------- Vellidis ----------------------- --- Chatziisaias ---- Malezas ---- Tzavellas --- Kitsiou - Cimirot - Pelkas - Charisis - Leovac ------------ Mak ---------------- Mystakidis -------- Reporters are banned from Nea Mesimvria if it isn't media day, which is wasn't today. In other words, someone is leaking to the press and Tudor will maybe have to change the line-up for tomorrow 1
pash Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Is Hatziisaias the key to the 3-CB defense? Is he what Tudor has been waiting for?? ;)
BostonThanatos Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I was reading Skondras is injured, and Antonis is active...
teke817 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 If Tudor is under pressure, then I think its smart of him to go back to the formation he believes in the most, and frankly, one that was quite successful for the first third of the year. I like the lineup @Blackhawk posted if its true, except for Leovac at LWB ... I would rather have Mystakidis at LWB and throw Klaus up top with Mak.
