slippery209
http://en.euro2008.uefa.com/news/kind=1/ne...nd+their+notice Surprised me when I opened up the Euro 2008 website this morning, but I'm pleased to hear that Niko finally realized it is time to go... he will always be remembered for his performance in 2004. As for Antzas, I'm not quite sure why he is deciding to retire. Maybe he just doesn't feel like playing for the NT anymore? Both players are retiring from the national team only, I believe. athinaios
I hope that they and several others have already played their last NT game. I'd like to see those who haven't played at all in this euro against Spain.
Irlandos
I guess that's their way of committing suicide and dying with honour? How about Lyberopoulos? How about Chalkias? How about renewing the team whether some regulars retire or not?
Genome
Good news. They will indeed be remembered for their work, especially Nikopolidis for his Euro 2004 work. But it's good that he has made space for newcomers.

loup
Yia sou Antzas - you seem like a strange man Nikopolidis - you were awesome from 2002-2004 and perfect in Portugal The amazing thing aobut him is that he has the reflexes he had years ago, simply amazing for a 37 year old, but instead of learning from his experiences he has gotten worse in his decision making over time. You will be missed and please get Chalkias to quit with you
