bravo @Alphonse speaking some sense. All the guys getting hammered for a poor performance (donis lazaros etc) were the same guys these posters wanted starting the game. Now that we lost (through bad luck more than poor play imo) it's "we are so embarrassing, can't believe Skibbe is still in a job, I called it Lazaro is s%$#!, donis is koutsianikoulis 2.0. It's quiet funny We are playing much better football than we have in a few years, quality of the opponent probably has something to do with that but never the less. Happy with how we are looking but I pray Mitro is fit in a month when we have our next round of matches because without him we struggle (not exactly a news flash)

He missed a training session at some stage last week with a minor knock but I believe he was back in full training a day or 2 later No need to worry my sweet buttercup

Match topic for the Hungary game? Looks like Mitroglou is unlikely to play on Tuesday. Huge blow. Donis has to start at centre forward (assuming he's fit) Zeca and Bouchalakis good to go. http://www.novasports.gr/podosfairo/diethneis/nations-league/article/406591/ponaei-o-mitroglou-ponaei-i-ethniki/

Wow surely this thing does not happen at the NT level? Fortounis can be a bit of a solo artist at teams and be a little selfish could it just have been that. Very disappointing if that's true and the reason behind it is the PAOK/olympiakos rivalry.

I read it's because he's still suspended? I thought he got 2 yellows in the cup final which should equal a one match ban, so not sure why he is still suspended

Ah that's cool! I got us with Sevilla, Dinamo Zagreb and Dudelange from Luxembourg. Tricky but I think we'd come through 2nd if that's how it fell

No call for Pasxalakis, for whatever reason managerial or otherwise Gianniotis seems to be favoured by Skibbe. Could be argued his error vs benfica cost him, but I feel on the body of work he's put together he deserves the call. Gotta love the Greek NT Pelkas called up as was Giannoulis and Koulouris. The ethniki needs a striker asap, I kind of can't believe Kolouris is getting called up.

Siovas not getting a call is criminal. Especially with Retsos and Kyriako injured. I felt Pasxalakis deserved a call up, despite his error v Benfica. Maybe I'm biased. Man are we thin at centre forward, Kolouris as our no.2 at the senior level? It's pretty bad, hopefully Karelis finally leaves Genk today and gets some mins.

You'd think between Jaba/Warda/Bieseswar/Limnios we have enough cover out wide. Not to mention El Kaddouri, although I don't love him out wide Lucescu has shown he doesn't mind playing him there. We also have Lamprou hanging around so surely we are more than covered

Won't happen this late. Hang onto him, try win the league have a run in the Europa League and if the offers come again next summer consider it. Only if the $ are ridiculous

according to this Vlaxodimos is 5th in line for a call up as we stand https://www.contra.gr/Soccer/Hellas/National-Greece/o-skimpe-apofasise-gia-toys-duo-provlhmatizetai-gia-ton-3o.5296422.html

A great run comes to an end. Proud of the boys for making it this far, tonight was disappointing though. Onto the Europa league where we should have a good chance at making it out of the group stage and into the knock out stage

You guys are happy with being thumped at home? For some context benfica lost all 6 of their group stage games last season, hardly the form of a "top 20 european club" Like I said there's a way to lose, just frustrating to see the same thing happen

They are a better side @PAOKSYD but there is no real excuse for brain fades which led to 2 of the 3 goals. The 3rd goal can't do much we were ripped open by better play. There is a way to lose, in saying that there is still a half to go, grab an early goal and anything is possible. This team has showed heart and passion over this run, let's get back to that in this 2nd half

Going to take a miracle from here, but we now have nothing to lose given we are 3-1 down. Throw on Warda and Jaba and just run at them. If only Biseswar was on the bench hey We haven't been good enough mentally, yes Benfica are a better team but we crumbled mentally after the first 20 mins. Will be interesting to see what this error does for Paschalakis confidence, he was in career best form. Remains to be seen if that was a once off or the true keeper shinning through. Would be a shame for all his great work to be brought down by a brain fade

awful we have fallen apart that was a training run Limnios lazy

@PAOKARA that might be a bit harsh, although it's the same thing I have feared. Can't deny he pooed the bed there not only once but twice. Not sure if it undoes all his good work till now. Then again this is Greece

oxi re pasxalakis... what a moment to go full Greek keeper oxi re p*****

F*** there it is 1-1 from no where Need to stay focused now, any goal from Benfica and we need 2. Gonna be a knife on the edge stuff now

Still a long way to go, they equalise and we are heading for extra time. Need to keep the foot on the throat, Benfica look rattled

FIGAAAAMEEEEEEEE PRIJOOOOOO

Roma keep selling key players and are not using the funds to replace them. Strootman the latest to pack his bags. Can see Manolas leaving in the next 6 moths to a year if this is the direction Roma are going to continue taking

Biseswar left out of the squad. I'm disappointed, if the game gets to a point where we are a chasing a goal or two he will be missed.

We have resigned Razvan until the end of next season (19-20) https://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20180827-lucescu-os-to-2020/ Can't help but think the extension is only for one year because Lucescu and his team could be anticipating offers from better leagues if he carries on his form with us and so far he's off to a brilliant start this season

That Felix looked very dangerous when he came on against us as well...
