After the weekend we are a decent chance to be seeded in the second qualifying round of the Champions league and thus avoid Basel and Ajax. We just need Basaksehir to hold onto to 2nd place in the Turkey with one game to go. Although after a quick look at the Uefa coefficient it seems Galatasary and Fenerbache are both ranked below us. So even if they end up 2nd we'd still be seeded. Besiktas are the ones who would bump us out of the seeded group. In the Czech league as long as Plzen don't implode and blow their 7 point lead with 2 games to play (2nd has a game in hand so still mathematically possible) and Sparta Prague don't pull a miracle off and end up second (whom they are currently 4 points behind having played a game more) then there shouldn't be any worry of any team from the Czech Republic knocking us out of the seeded teams.

Great for the kid! He's ranking has gone up to 44 as a result of his run to the final in Barcelona. Hopefully he can continue on this upward trajectory and end the year in the top 50 or perhaps even better

Finally got some minutes for the first time in nearly 3 months as he came off the bench in the 67th min and grabbed an assist in stoppage time as Stuttgart beat Weder 2-0. Hopefully he can get a solid runs of games if it is off the bench in the remaining few weeks of the season.

Another successful night for a Greek player in Europe, Marseille over turned the first leg result and beat Leipzig 5-2 in France making it through to the semis of the Europa League. Mitro got a full 90 and although he didn't score apparently had a hand in a few of the goals, also was responsible for one being disallowed. Regardless great result for him and Marseille, would love to see him playing in the Europa league final but they still have a couple of games before that can happen. Started last Thursday in their Europa league quarter final away to Leipzig. Marseille lost 1-0 but had quiet a few chances to grab an away goal, including Mitro who had a clever flick well saved by the keeper. 2nd leg this week, hopefully Marseille can overturn the deficit and make the semis. Last night he also got 30 mins off the bench as Marseille drew 0-0 with Montpellier

Looks like he has had a falling out with Hamburger coach and the board has taken exception to his behaviour. I read when he was benched a couple of games a go, he came out post game and said he couldn't believe he and another player (don't recall his name) didn't play and Hamburger have no chance of winning games without them. Hard to see him make his way back in this season unless they change coach. Not looking good for them regardless, relegation is almost certain unless they can do a 180 on their form.
