  1. I'll allow it on a temporary basis. :D Churlishness? Is that even a word in the English language?
  2. I think we are changing transfer strategy. Before we used to acquire players that score on us in European competitions. Now we are going to be loaning players to teams so they can score on us. :D
  3. I think that is one of the bigger problems facing Arnesen and Tudor. Add to the mix the sleazy Thessaloniki sports radio stations and press with agendas, and you have a recipe for disaster. I only hope that Savvidis comes out and says, no matter what the results are, this year we are starting to rebuild the team and Arnesen and Tudor are not going anywhere.
  4. After we went down 2:0 the game was pretty much over, and the team accepted the fate. The red card didn't make matters any easier. We did not play as bad as the score would suggest. Sure their first goal was a cheap giveaway by the goalie and our defense (3 CB's watching, while PAS player heads the ball in). Right after the goal the team bounced back and had at least 5 clear cut chances to score. Never mind the fact that Giachos missed a hand ball which should have been a penalty right after their goal. The score could have easily been 3:1 for us by half-time. Anyway the Sabo own goal basically took the wind out of the team. Time to regroup during the break, and get ready for the rest of the season which will be a long affair. As for Olsen (and Glykos), it might be time to send them a message by starting the 3rd stringer in our next game.
  5. Cool story gdkmangosalsa. Speaking of pizza. For you Boston area based PAOKtzides, if you're in the Cranston, RI area and have a taste for a good pizza, I recommend Basil's Pizza. Tell them you're PAOK fans from the Phantis PAOK Forum and they will take care you. Ask for Vasili. B)
  6. Lazar got injured in today's AEP - Panionios game. The Pontoii had great hopes for him, but even his last season at PAOK he was mostly injured.
  7. PAOK's fate will be decided in the first three rounds in my opinion. If we managed to win at Qabala, get a point with Dortmund at home and then beat Krasnodar at home, we should be in very good shape. Unfortunately I see Krasnodar giving us a lot problems. I think the second place will be decided between us and the Russians.
  8. They also control Skondras and Konstantinidis. As for Koulouris, he was called the next Klaus, after one great game, and it must have gone to his head. He got few chances to prove himself, but he didn't. Loan might actually do him some good. Just look at Pelkas. Also Deligiannidis is suposed to be more talented than Koulouris, but he was plagued by injuries. Hopefully he will get some playing time to show what he's got.
  9. I voted for Arnesen, without whom most of the players on the list would be missing. If I had to pick one player, I would say Charisis long term wise. I think he will become a great player down the road.
  10. Pelkas is injured. He might get his chance eventually. Well deserved call up for Kitsiou. I would also give Konstantinidis a try if I was the NT coach.
  11. He has been very solid so far this season, but he will need some rest so he doesn't burn out like he did last season.
  12. Nothing wrong with that. Only if we had players with the same mentality. Instead we used to have over-30 year old old timers lookin ahead to their retirement.
  13. Here is the money breakdown: 2.4 mil for making group stage 1.2 mil for market pool (Tripoli gets the other half) 300K for a win 150K for a tie 600K for 1st place 400K for 2nd place and any money that is made from ticket sales.
  14. How about Ajax or Schalke (we owe them something from past CL campaigns) PAOK Augsburg (Stafylidis) Groningen (Maduro) Although I would like to see something like this: Ajax PAOK Slovan Liberec or Sparta Prague (that's the Czech in me talking) Skenderbeu
  15. That's correct. Hopefully something happens with PAOK and we get to see those games as well.
  16. Draw for the group stage is tomorrow. PAOK is seeded in Pot 2. PAOK can't be drawn against Asteras Tripolis and any team from Pot 2. 17. That's good. More money for PAOK from market pull and less points for Greece in the UEFA standings.
  18. Koulouris is heading for a loan in my opinion. Pathetic display today. No excuse for not winning today.
  19. With Sport Plus and Antenna Sat we have all the games covered her in the US, except for PAOK home games. The only games we will miss are the games that fall on the same time and belong to the same channel. In that case the one game will be on tape, and if they decide not to show the second game it will not be a big loss, since the channel will decide to show the game with the more popular team. The schedule for this weekend: Saturday: 19:15 - Levadeiakos - Olympiakos (Antenna Sat/Pc) 21:30 - Skoda Xanthi - AEK (Sport Plus) Panthrakikos - Veroia will not be televised Sunday: 19:15 - AEP Iraklis - Panionios (Sport Plus) 19:15 - Panathinaikos - Kalloni (Antenna Sat/Pac) 21:30 - PAS Giannina - PAOK (Antenna Sat/Pac) 21:30 - Asteras - Panaitolikos (Sport Plus) - TAPE DELAY Monday: 21:30 - Platanias - Atromitos (Antenna Sat/Pac) All times are Greek time.
