The first license has apparently been awarded. Speculations and rumors say that it has been won by (Alter Ego) Marinakis. According tot rules of the bidding process no information is going to be released until the whole process is completed, so once again we are witnessing the bourdello that the Greek society is. I don't think any of the channels will close. Some of the losers will probably be absorbed by the license winners. For example if Savvidis wins one of the license, he will need the technical means and employees to start broadcasting. The easiest way is to acquire an existing broadcaster. MEGA comes to mind. The losers also have the options to apply for a regional license later on

Apparently we are after 2 players. One center forward and one winger. Players Michel is after are Alvaro Vasquez (Getafe) and Tiam on loan from Juventus. Plan B if one of them does not work out is Miku from Rayo. All of these are just rumors, so there might be other surprises.

Why would I not believe it? Holland is a world class soccer country and we are not. The closest we came was a 1:1 tie in 1987, and that is the only game against them that we did not lose.

If we are serious and show up to play we can qualify from this group. I was reading few Czech sites today and they are all confident that they (Liberec) can advance. They are more worried about Qarabag than PAOK. If I was Ivic I would worry more about Qarabag than Liberec as well. I think our schedule is favorable. If we can get a good result against Fiorentina at Toumba and then go to Czech Republic and beat them we will be in good shape. Then we play Qarabag twice and if we can get 4 points at minimum, we should be through. I am not worried about Fiorentina. We always show up against tough opponents. Even last season, we beat and tied Borussia Dortmund, but managed not to defeat either Qabala or Krasnodar.
