  1. Anna Korakaki, who is a self proclaimed PAOK fan, won the gold medal in 25 m Air Rifle, to go with her bronze medal. Well done Anna.
  2. Korakaki wins the gold.
  3. Korakaki qualified to the final and now is facing a German shooter Karsch to decide who will get the gold medal.
  4. Interesting to see Poggouras playing as LB.
  5. The Biseswar goal was a beauty. Nice pass from Jairo.
  6. Two goals by Pereyra, who is playing in his natural position. He can only be an asset for this team.
  7. Some local businessman, who is good friends with Karypidis.
  8. Both our rowing boats made it to the final races. At least one medal is expected there. Today Korakaki is competing in the 25 m pistol and is doing very well. We can expect a medal here too. Today the swimmers completely bombed out. Looks like after one of them got caught for doping they stopped drinking their "cocktails"
  9. Starti ng lineup for the Veroia game:

  11. Squads for the two friendlies announced by Ivic. PAOK - Veroia on Tuesday at 20:00 GR:
  12. Konstantinidis has been officially loaned to Omonia Nicosia for one season.
  13. Tamouridis finished in 51st place out of 144 competitors. I watched the race on TV and there were many crashes. More than half the racers did not complete the race.
  14. First medal for Greece Bronze for Anna Korakaki in 20m Air Pistol.
  15. Greek female swimmer failed a doping test and will be sent back to Greece.
  16. Of the 97 Greek athletes competing in Rio Olympics, only two of them (that I know of) that have an affiliation with PAOK. The cyclist Giannis Tamouridis who is a member PAOK cycling team. He also races professionally with Cynergy Baku Cycling Project. He competes tomorrow in the Cycling Road Race. The second athlete is Kelly Araouzou, who used to be member of PAOK swimming team. She now belongs to Olympiakos. She will race in the 10 KM open race and has a good chance to medal.
  17. We did NOT play Dinamo Tbilisi. We played Lokomotiva Tbilisi in 1999-2000 7:0 win in Tbilisi (Georgiadis 2, Frouso 2, Sabry, Maragos, Frantzeskos - our biggest European win ever score wise. 2:0 in Toumba (Valencia, Salpiggidis) In late 1970's, early 1980's Dinamo Tbilisi had one of the better European sides, even wining the Cup Winners Cup in 1980-81. They were part of USSR them. Thats the season that Kastoria played them. 0:0 at Kaftanzoglio, 0:2 in Tbilisi.
  18. I'd like to avoid Rosenborg, Arouca, Grasshopers, Hajduk Split, Red Star Beograd, Astana , Qabala and Gotteborg. Averybody else should be fine.
  19. Here are the seedings for tomorrow's draw. 20. We need to do good in Europe this season in order to accumulate points. Next season our bad showing from 5 years ago (thanks to Donis) will drop from the standings. This should strengthen our seeding position in Europe. Unfortunately after that our best season will also be dropped from the standings. That's why we need as many points as possible this season.
  21. List of possible opponents is slowly shaping up. So far sure teams that will not be seeded are: FK Astana KAZ 12.575 Astra Giurgiu ROM 11.076 Hajduk Split CRO 10.775 FC Arouca POR 10.616 Grashopers Zurich SWI 9.755 AEK Larnaca CYP 9.435 Vojvodina Novi ad SRB 7.925 Istanbul Basaksehir TUR 7.920 Brondby DEN 7.220 Red Start Beograd SRB 7.175 Osmanlispor TUR 6.920 IFK Gotteborg SWE 6.475 Dinamo Tbilisi GEO 5.875 Lokomotiva Zagreb CRO 5.775 AS Trencin SVK 5.400 Qabala AZE 5.225 Beitar Jerusalem ISR 4.225 SonderjyskE DEN 3.720 Shkendija Tetovo FYR 2.950 Partizani Tirana ALB 1.575
  22. Can't really blame Klaus exclusively for not qualifying. Sakhov missed a sure goal as well and then there was the Mystakidis crossbar. I was more disappointed in the way we played in the 2nd half. It almost looked like we were happy with 1;1 tie and taking it into extra time/penalties. This Ajax team was ready to go down. PAOK and the ref just let them get back into the game. CF that is better than Klaus and Koulouris is a must. Hopefully Brkic pans out to be a good keeper and pushes Glykos into backup role. Also i am not conviced we got a "dekari" that will make the difference. Pelkas certainly is not the answer.
  23. Great post Eagle. Agree 100% CL was a dream and will continue to be a dream. Realistically we are not yet ready to make the group stage of CL. We should now concentrate on Europa league and Superleague. Hopefully we have an easy draw tomorrow and we can make the El group stage. Our goal should be to qualify from the group stage into the Round of 32 and why not Round of 16. Let's stay positive and i am sure things will get better.
  24. Europe League Playoff round it is. Draw is on Friday. PAOK will be seeded and should be draw against an "easy" team. Qualifying from the group stage of Europa League should be the goal this season.
  25. And the tradition against Dutch teams continues ...
