  1. The corrupt government that is running a bankrupt country came out to bail out 7 teams without TV contract by giving them 14.5 mil in tax payers money through the state broadcaster ERT. This move basically prevents the 7 teams from boycotting the Superleague and pretty much guarantees the start of the season as scheduled on August 25. The 7 teams will divide the 14.5 mil gift as follows: Panathinaikos - 4.2 mil Aris - 2.0 mil Atromitos - 1.9 mil Xanthi - 1.65 mil Panaitolikos - 1.65 mil Lamia - 1.45 mil Apollon - 1.45 mil ERT will show the home games for the above teams. The deal with ERT is for two seasons.
  2. Well the government came in and bailed out the 7 teams without TV contract by offering them 14.5 mil TV revenue through the state broadcaster ERT. The Undersecretary of Sport came to an agreement with the 7 teams for a two year deal (14.5 mil per year), which pretty much guarantees that the Superleague will kick-off on time as scheduled on August 25. The 7 teams will divide the 14.5 mil gift as follows: Panathinaikos - 4.2 mil Aris - 2.0 mil Atromitos - 1.9 mil Xanthi - 1.65 mil Panaitolikos - 1.65 mil Lamia - 1.45 mil Apollon - 1.45 mil In return ERT will show the home games of the above teams, which comes out to 105 games. Additional ERT will also show the Football League (soon to be renamed Superleague 2) next season.
  3. He did but Lucescu/Savvidis did not make him an offer since we already have a similar player on the roster (Mauricio) and he would also take a non-domestic spot on the team as mentioned by pash.
  4. Anastasakis finished 9th in hammer throw with 73.33 meters. Skarvellis finished 11th in shot put with 20.11 meters Stefanidi with 4.55m, and Kyriakopoulou and Polak with 4.45m qualified to the final of the pole vault
  5. The transfer happened, but the Jews are not paying. Same situation as with Galata concerning Rodrigues. PAOK should just mention FIFA and you'll see how quick an installment arrangement for the 300K will be set up. Wernbloom used PAOK to get a better deal. Let's see if anybody bites. There are mentions of Galatasaray is after him. PAOK should have gave him an ultimatum long time ago.
  6. I think it's more important to do this in this game as opposed to the Basel game. I predict that the team that scores in their away game will qualify.
  7. Bibras Nathko signed for two years with Olympiakos at 1 mil per season. Good signing for them.
  8. Good start for Greek athletes with 3 out of 5 qualifying to the finals. In Long Jump Tentoglou finished1st in qualifying with 8.15 meters. In Hammer Throw Anastasakis finsished 5th in qualifying with 75.61 meters In Shot Put Skarvelis fisnished 6th in qualifying with 20.24 meters The two sprinters (Nyfantopoulos and Spanoudaki) failed to qualify to the next rounds on 100 meters.
  9. Season ticket count as of today: 16,023
  10. Taking the place of Mystakidis. (sorry pash). We still have a chance to make 2 changes 24 hours prior to the first game. Would not be surprised to see Wernbloom and/or a left back added to the list.
  11. You are right. Thanks for noticing. Fixed.
  12. After Wernbloom all we need is a left back and we are done. Then clean up house with the leftovers.
  13. Just shows you how stupid UEFA is. Let Ukrainian and Russian teams face each other at neutral venues without fans. Problem solved.
