  1. Agreed, but the problem is that nobody in Greece wants to fix this problem. Unfortunately such violence is a tool by team owners and government official (actually they are the same entity) in order hide their incompetence in running a democratic country.
  2. What app are you using on your android box for the Greek channels?
  3. Pouggouras is higher on the pecking order than Chatziisaias. I believe Chatziisaias will be history after this season. After the cup final Michel said that there will be 3 to 4 transfers during the summer.
  4. True, but it would have been a non-factor and would spare us the Athenian media hysteria if right before the goal the ref would call a penalty on Crespo. Clear take down in the box which would have resulted in a penalty kick and second yellow to the AEK player. Spare us the organized media hysteria ever since we destroyed Panathinaikos in the semis. All of a sudden the POK established in 1929 is alive and well.
  5. Why are you keepeng out AEK from the point deduction scenario? Did they not start the trouble? No, there should not be point deductions for PAOK or AEK. The rules do not provide for point deductions for fan trouble that occur when the two teams are not even present at the stadium. Additionally, Olympiakos was going to get punished because officers of the game were attacked during or after the game. Fines clearly spelled out in the rule books, but not administered. Not only that they got reduced on appeal. Now, the crowd trouble was disgusting, and the teams should be punished for giving out tickets to those fans. I think the fault is with EPO and the police that supposedly had everyone entering the stadium go through security checks. Also the police left the bridge connecting both fan bases without the police blocking it. Now how stupid can they be. Specially when exactly the same thing happened few years back in a game between Olympiakos Volos and PAOK. Believe me there were others that were very happy to see these incident take place, and they use to their benefit with media propaganda. What should be investigated is how those hooligans managed to get those items into the stadium. But this has been happening in Greek stadiums for years and nothing has ever been done about it. Nobody apparently wants a solution to this problem.

  7. Win against AEK at home and then not lose against Panathinaikos away, and we make a big step to win the playoffs again. I just hope our players come out focused on Sunday.
  8. Which according to the rules of the competitions they should. Not only did Olympiakos not get punished according to the rule books, today the initial punishment was reduced from 4 games to 1 game behind closed doors and the fine was cut in half. It's exactly this selective punishments that is holding any progress of the sport in Greece.
  9. I think Alafouzos has the controlling majority of shares in Sport FM.
  10. This current season was scheduled to start August 20, but eventually started with Round 3 sometimes in September. Expect something similar with the new season.
  11. Who cares. That should erase some of the injustices from past. Game is not over yet.
  12. Big trouble between fans at the stadium. Let's see if the game will even be played.
  13. EPO officially announced a sold out for the game. No more tickets are available. Now if you have a ticket, it will be a challenge to find your seat though. BTW each team received 8,538 tickets.
  14. I would like to believe that Kominis will play a 50-50 game, but we should keep in mind some of his "accomplishments" against PAOK:
  15. Pelkas is a possibility instead of Henrique. Judging how Biseswar played against Panathinaikos makes me think he will give him a start. I could see Malezas instead of Varela as well. I think Crespo will start in order to contain Araujo, unless Canas gets a start. We'll see tomorrow what happens. It will be a tough game.
  16. Ivic said today during the Greek Cup Final press conference that he decided on the starting lineup 3 days ago. I think we will see something like this: -------------- Glykos ----------------Matos - Varela - Crespo - Leovac--- Shakhov --------- Cimirot -------Campos --- Biseswar --- Henrique-------------- Prijovic ------------------
  17. The stadium was completely remodeled for the 2004 Olympics. The Olympic soccer tournament games were played there. Now how they managed to fool the International Olympic Committe by not having toilets in one complete section of the stadium should be investigated. I am sure the money for that is in some Swiss bank account.
  18. They did. At the start of the season, the clown Girtzikis announced the final would be played in Germany.
  19. I said it before and I will say it again: Greece is the only African country in Europe.
  20. The team is already in Volos, but today the government held an emergency meeting and threatening to postpone the Final for another date. What a kseftila.
  21. George Savvidis posted the above. Pretty much rules out Garry coming back to PAOK. As much as I liked him when he played for us I would not want him back. Would set a bad example for others.
