  1. 4.99 Euro. Better than the illegal sites that charge more. And the money goes to the team, not someone's pocket.
  2. Superleague has requested and extension from EPO until August 7 to determined the relegation details for the 2018-19 season. It has been decided that the 2019-2020 Superleague will take place with 14 teams. Superleague's initial proposal is that the last two teams in the standings will be dropped to the Football League, and that teams finishing 13 and 14 would play against the top two teams from Football League to determine who will play in the Superleague. Obviously the Football League is opposed to this. At the end EPO might have to make a decision on the matter to break the deadlock. Additionally 7 teams without a TV contract are threatening on boycotting the Superleague until they get a contract. I don't see the season starting on August 25 as scheduled.
  3. Novasport2 is showing it in Greece and Cyprus. As for the BleacherReport, they have been streaming selected CL and EL games for free until their PPV kicks in, which is expected next month. There is always a chance they might include PAOK's game as well. I would not count out PAOKTV to show the game.
  4. The striped one is beautiful. Reminds me of the jersey's the team used back in 1970's. I don't like the grey one. If I remember we had an all grey jersey a while back. Hated that one as well.
  5. 2018 - Greek Track & Field Championships held at Pampeloponnisiako Stadium in Patra last weekend. Team winners are Olympiakos Piraeus (men) and GS Glyfada (Women) MEN: 1. Olympiakos Piraeus - 151.5 points 2. GS Eleftherios Venizelos Chania - 107.5 3. GS Kifisia - 86 4. GS Trikala - 72 5. Panathinaikos Athens - 68 WOMEN: 1. GS Glyfada - 115 2. 6. The always injured Dimitris Konstantinidis when he was at PAOK signed a 2-year deal with Aris Thessaloniki.
  7. Biseswar's MRI was negative as far as knee damage is concerned, but he has been ruled out for the first Basel game. I agree that Warda will most likely take his place. Would not be surprised if Lambrou makes an appearance as well. BTW, El Kaddouri's MRI was negative as well and he will start full practice load tomorrow.
  8. Pouggouras never really got a chance to prove himself. I rate him better than Mihojevic (who also is not getting his chances) and on par with Chatziisaia.
  9. Today's totals: 11,741 (8,412 renewals + 3,329 new)
  10. The player list sent to UEFA for the Basel games: Γλύκος , Ρέι , Πασχαλάκης , Σιαμπάνης , Βαρέλα , Κρέσπο , Χατσερίδης , Μαλεζάς , Μάτος , Κίτσιου , Βιεϊρίνια , Λύρατζης, Κάνιας , Χαρίσης , Σάκχοφ , Μαουρίσιο , Πέλκας , Ελ Καντουρί , Μπίσεσβαρ , Λημνιός , Λάμπρου , Ζαμπά , Ουάρντα , Μυστακίδης , Πρίγιοβιτς Moulen, Balogiannis and Mihojevic did not make the list. The first due to injuries, the second because he did not meet the criteria to be included in the 'B" list. Mihojevic is slated to be loaned so he is not counted on. We have the option of making two changes 24 hours before the first game.
  11. Tickets for this game go on sale on Monday. Only one day before kick-off. They are cutting it short.
  12. Today's season ticket totals: 10,736 (7,775 renewals + 2,961 new) Apparently team officials want to set a cut-off limit at 21,000 season tickets.
  13. Apparently Olympiakos now wants Conde. Could be a trick by Giannina to get the most for the player. Pouggouras is supposedly a free transfer since his contract expires next year. Siabanis has the same contract, but I don't see PAOK giving him out for free. His contract will be extended. As for loaning him, there are better teams that we can find for him than the backstabbers. As it is we should be looking to unload Glykos instead of Siabanis.
  14. If we eliminate Basel not only do we continue our CL group stage dream, we are also guaranteed direct qualification to Europa League group stage.
  15. Exactly and that's why I think it will be very tough to make the group stage, and I think team officials see it this way as well. That's why they are not going crazy about the transfers. If we get lucky and eliminate Basel, then we will be seeded in 3rd qualifying round. There we might have a chance against the likes of Fenerbahce, Spartak Moscow , Standard Liege or Slavia Prague. However I think it will be tough in the playoff round.
  16. Thursday is the deadline for PAOK to submit the player list to UEFA for the games against Basel.
  17. Jairo officially signed a 2+1 contract with Hajduk Split. One less player we will be talking about every transfer period from now on. PAOK officially announced the Henrique loan to Astana. Full salary paid by Astana and there is allegedly 5 mil buyout option. By next season I think Henrique will meet the same fate as Jairo and Pereyra.
  18. link for the game:
  19. I am sure we will fill those positions eventually during this transfer period. It quite obvious that any decent player (Werbloom, etc.) will wait until mid-August to decide their next team. Throw in the fact that many players don't care to come and play in the s%$#! league that is Superleague and you can see why is it so hard to bring in top players.
  20. Additional friendly has been scheduled for Monday July 16. it will be against Dutch Eredivisie team De Graafschap at 15:30 EEST. I expect the 2nd string players to get playing time in that one.
  21. Did you guys consider the option that Lucescu never wanted Khacheridi transfer to happen? Khacheridi has been Ivan's wet dream for years due to Pontian roots. For me that's one of the wrong reasons to be signing players. And Ivan made several such transfers in the past. That's why I think he will stick with the proven Varela/Crespo duo for the two important games.
  22. Henrique is slowly becoming the next Jairo. Unfortunately. Pelkas has been very disappointing so far this pre-season. Also I would not expect any transfer acquisitions until the games with Basel are done.
  23. Rey played very well today and made several good saves. Too bad we gave up the cheap goal at the end. Next game on Sunday at 5:30 AM my time against Royal Antwerp. Not sure I will be getting up so early for that one.
