Agreed on both parts. But Galatasaray can easily afford to spend the amount he's worth. Li'l Savvidis apparently said on instagram or something that they won't sell if they can't find a replacement that's as good or better than him...and that they have options that they're working on now. I guess we'll know more in a few days - they'll be coming for a meeting with Michel on Tuesday to decide how to proceed. Personally, I doubt we'll get a suitable replacement. Might end up seeing Matos playing as a winger in the future.

Vitor is out for the rest of the season, ACL injury. Poor guy.

Going to be a hard one, I fear. Does not speak well about Rodrigues staying with us if he's refusing to both train and participate in this match. This is probably who I would start with. Fortunately we still have some options on that left wing. I think Pelkas is better on that side than Mistakidis, though I'd be fine with my sweet little Mistakidis playing as well. --Glykos-- --Matos--Varela--Crespo--Leovac-- --Canas--Cimirot-- --Campos--Biseswar--Pelkas--

Well I think they still want that old guy who burned us for the Chinese this summer. Because everyone wants a 34 year old winger.

Galatasaray made their offer for the 4mm that was rumored. I didn't realize Rodrigues' current contract had a buy out clause? Regardless, it seems to be more than what they're offering. http://inpaok.com/332710

^ various Turkish outlets are calling it pretty much a done deal. I hope they're as garbage as the Greek ones. Lambrou's going to be loaned out to Kerkyra immediately, from what I hear -edit- Kerkyra also wants Korovesis. Would be a good move for him, he needs playing time

Galatasaray offering 4mm for Rodrigues? Say it ain't so. He's exactly the kind of player we NEED to keep.

This is a weird one... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/dec/30/kyriakos-amiridis-body-car-rio-greek-ambassador-brazil Apparently Greece's ambassador to Brazil may have been found in a burned out car. What makes this interesting is that his wife may have been having an affair with a Brazilian policeman, who set this up (assuming that the body does indeed belong to Amiridis). (Source (in Portuguese): http://veja.abril.com.br/brasil/mulher-e-amante-tramaram-morte-de-embaixador-da-grecia/) This is more confirmation that one should never get married.

Apparently Antonis is still our player? Man I thought we got rid of him ages ago. Looks like he's just played once for Veria, but is linked with a return to Austria.

For only 300k, that might not be a bad investment. Pics of Lamprou are showing up now, with him having cleaned out his locker at Iraklis' training ground. Man this kid looks like a dbag. Hopefully he gets a haircut, the damn hippie

Pozoglou has, indeed, gone to Panserraikos. Apparently announced via facebook!

Would be a bizarre signing...if we're looking to get a forward that'll be a real "difference maker," then why end up with a kid who I didn't even know existed until I googled his name? Could he possibly be better than Klaus, Koulouris, or that Cypriot kid? His stats imply no. At least this would make more sense than what I thought you were linking to - his brother. Would be just like us to buy a seventh goalkeeper.

I'm glad to see that after such a hard time in England, Crespo's finally found his level. Pics: http://www.paokfc.gr/nea/20161228-paok-party-time/

That's too bad. Do we know if Iraklis ever ended up paying him?
-
I do believe he was replaced with the guy that Ivic picked up in Serbia earlier this week, as well. The team's latest training video seemed to focus a lot on him.

Nikos Karelis ‒ (now playing for Panaitolikos)
pash replied to plato-ny's topic in Greek Players Abroad
Recovery time estimated at at least eight months -
He's playing the waiting game, as pretty much everyone on this forum has already said. Exactly what happened with Anastasiadis. This is why I think if Ivic has any chance at all, it's to go pretty much unbeaten for the remainder of the season - which is a tall order.

Perhaps they're just sold tickets ;)

So George Savvidis wants to buy...like...eagles or something
-
Well now I have a reason to go!
-
As it says in the article, this is in preparation for them to continue trying to sell him.

Pretty stones they find on the seashore, presumably. Would be a truly bizarre trade.
