I'm referring to Messi's PK record, and his insistence on taking them is similar to Ronaldo's insistence on taking free kicks. -

Messi misses 22% of PKs (which is actually worse than Ronaldo). But, just like Ronaldo with free kicks, he still takes them in these vital situations. Why? Ego. He's not a martyr, and there's really no need to make excuses for his failure rate. If he wants to stop playing for his NT, then he can stop that too. He doesn't owe anyone. If his teammates want him back bad enough, they can drop to their knees and ask nicely, too. -
Well, on the plus (and flip) side, it sounds like Pereyra's been a good boy at training so far. I really hope we keep this guy and that I won't see a future post in this thread talking about how we sold him for two gyros and a pack of smokes.

Maybe he should have been a better player. -
Some Romanian site is reporting that Rat will be making a surprise return to PAOK. I doubt that, due to how many fullbacks we now have...I still do like the guy. Great attitude, it was a real poor move to terminate his contract last season.

Apparently we're getting 236k from our players' involvement in the Euro. Doesn't that make up half of the difference on our purchase of Varela? Pfft just get him already.
-
Another Dnipro guy, huh?

Slovakia lost 3-0, unsurprisingly. Germany's definitely approved. Mak (and Stoch) both sat on the bench the whole match.

Klinsmann is right about one thing - the US players are coddled and are too afraid to get physical. -
Mak's not starting today vs Germany

I wonder if their beer is...hoppy

Maybe you can answer this for me. One branch of my family is at four consecutive generations of twins. Every few months, I ask one of them if they have a full soul. They get mad. WHY?!?! Also - of the players you've met, who is the dreamiest looking?

Well that was a shitty ending to the US/Colombia match. Both teams down to ten men. Poor all around. Looking forward to Chile/Argentina, should be a good one. -
Very frustrating player, but provides much-needed depth. I'd only sell him if we buy a (better) winger to replace him.
-
If that rumor of Tzavellas to Israel ends up true, we'll need both depth and upgrades...
-
Yeah, poor downtrodden working class folks. And here I thought people voted against their best interests only in the US.
-
So that means...they're being released?
-
Exit polls work when you have a stats built up over years of successive elections. It's been, what, 41 years since this kind of referendum happened? Not enough data to make accurate predictions off of.

The team was fresh because so many of them were returning from long-term injuries, fearless leader!
-
PAOK and Arturico (sp?), the Italian trainer brought in by Tudor, have parted ways. I believe he was in charge of conditioning. If that's right, then the fact that we had so many injuries is proof of his failure - good riddance.
-
Or they picked a game they know more about than the proletariat does.
-
Good to see. Every pass, assist, and goal will net us more cash. Got to play.

Seems Maccabi is interested in Tzavellas. SELL HIM. Throw in Tziolis for free. Verdi seems very unwilling to leave Italy for Greece, I don't blame him.
