  1. Reports earlier were that Pena's old team (Alianza Lima) was itching to get him back. Meanwhile, metrosport claims that we've nearly got a deal with Malmo, while there is a gap of 100k separating our salary offer / Pena's demand. Seems to be 600 vs 700. Honestly if he ends up starter-caliber, 700k may be a steal. I can't imagine the team from Lima can match our offer (whatever it might actually be). https://www.metrosport.gr/symfonia-paok-malme-ta-chrimata-poy-chorizoyn-ton-dikefalo-me-ton-penia-1106144
  2. Very possibly (the shame alone is reason enough to expect it!), but I do wonder what the actual reasons are for not greenlighting this. I am with @Bananas as far as the confusion goes. I do think we've talked about this some time in the past, but the fact that development can just never even start is kind of wild. From what I recall: there were issues with the proposed height of the new stadium, which is part of the reason why they wanted to "sink the pitch" i'm guessing that sinking the pitch and eliminating the track will allow another 6-12 rows of seating to be added i recall us talking about the likelihood of them finding archaeological items of interest if they were to dig (and I definitely remember measuring out the distance of the stadium for already-known features - it's a near certainty) the "iraklis" situation at kaftanzoglio may lend fuel to the government conspiracy theories, as it is nonsense for them to give iraklis such deference when they aren't paying their own bills (esp when their own existence is questionable) it's also irrational for stadium management to not want the free significant upgrades we were offering, with our older lighting/cameras/etc as for funding it - i thought i had read that Savvidis would just cover the whole bill, but obviously i have no proof of that since nothing ever happened The fact that we allegedly engaged Populous but also have zero renders to show for it really smells.
  3. Blackhawk's favorite lawyer has a lot to say on this matter! https://inpaok.com/848644/kougias-eimai-katigorimatikos-oti-tha-athoothei-o-loutseskou/
  4. HELL YEAH
  5. Our performance was bad before and after he was "suspended," though. I don't think him having to give instructions over the phone will be the death knell for the team's season. Fair chance that they'll be angry and just play better. Also wouldn't be surprised if the punishment gets reduced upon appeal. Funny, I was just telling this to your partner yesterday. Only thing he needs to do now is come out against female refs or something. Master of manipulation and distraction, whose players would die for him. It's exactly what you want in a coach!
  6. Lmao how absurd. I HOPE Panathinaikos gets him and pays out the ass for his middling-at-best services. He'll be fit some time in early 2026, I'd assume. https://inpaok.com/848493/paok-kai-dyo-akomi-ellinikes-omades-gia-meite/ Of course knowing us, Lucescu will strong arm the administration into overpaying for this guy. He'll point at Bakayoko as what happens when he doesn't get "his guy."
  7. Iliopoulos got reprimanded so it's totally even. Perhaps the team should travel with an escort when they go to Athens. Literally set up a cordon before they exit the stadium.
  8. Oh god are we relying on him to guilt the government now??
  9. Pretty decent away record there, in recent years. Let's hope that keeps up
  10. Apparently Sergio Pena's buy-out is only 400k (according to inPAOK). Wildly cheap, if true.
  11. Lamprou just made a move to NFC Volos. Hopefully he does well for him. Fun player to watch, the few times he actually played.
  12. Would be just like us to get rid of one Greek RB who can't get minutes, just to hire another one who will also not get minutes. PAOK Today reiterating your Malmo news, but also Dejan Ljubicic: https://www.transfermarkt.us/dejan-ljubicic/profil/spieler/287188
  13. Know very little about him but here's a recent vid of his game vs Galatasaray. Looks pretty good. Nice passing; perhaps a Misic comp?
  14. Merry Christmas, buds:
  15. Asteras beat Aris 2-1 today. The mighty Aris remains in 5th place. Spitting distance from Panaitolikos. OFI also beat NFC Volos. The mid-table (i.e., conference league qualifiers) group is actually kind of interesting this year: Aris - 27 Panaitolikos - 23 OFI - 20 Atromitos - 19 Asteras - 19 (special mention - technically out of that quartet based on H2H) Overall, I like that the super league might be represented by five teams next summer - assuming, of course, that all of the teams qualify. Just as likely that only PAOK and Olympiakos will actually make it through.
  16. Here are the highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WWZtX-CBlk I must say, I am liking how Chalov is progressing. This circle jerk over Samatta has to end. The guy's a potato. Every time he plays, he's taking time away from much better strikers (which is literally everyone else we have in that position).
  17. The AEK-Levadiakos game ended 1-1, noiiiceeeee
  18. Honestly that was a beautiful assist by Andre
  19. Seriously, is this the third game in a row where Michailidis has screwed us?
  20. This is why I drunk dial woman constantly. The first time one says yes, I assume all of them will come for me.
  21. Yeah this is going well. I don't think that head kick was on purpose but stupid to kick your heel back when you know others are going for the ball.
  22. Good lineup. Let's goooo
  23. Was he not coaching Makedonikos this season? Fired?
  24. He can be a bad striker while also legitimately trying to do his job.
