It's just their estimate as to his current value, probably due to his performance this season + some buzz. Even if it's accurate, I think a clause would ideally exceed just "fair" value, even if one ignores the idea that we just want to keep him (and so would move the clause up to make him unattainable).

Yeah I think the fan accounts jumped the gun on that. InPAOK now saying he wants to return to Spain, so doesn't want to be tied up long-term. Who knows.

Michailidis ain't going anywhere. The team wants him to be their next Malezas, mark my words. That's even if he didn't have a new contract that sees him with us through the 26-27 season. With that being the case, he's serviceable for depth. But yeah I agree that he seems to have hit his ceiling. Is Colley that bad with the ball? He seemed pretty solid the few times he actually played. I guess the benefit of him being iced out is that we won't have to carry the extra player past this summer (same as with Bakayoko). Next season we may lose Colley, Bakayoko, Schwab, Vieirinha. In fact, a big chunk of the team. Who among these guys do we build around? Even if we re-hire Taison, Ozdoyev, and Schwab (good chance of each), we need to start making much better (read: bigger) moves in those positions of need. # Player Nat. I think easy paths are exactly where we stumble the most. Still, this was a very good draw for us.
