South come away with a 2-0 win at port Melbourne, 1st half was the best we had played all season, had enough chances to score a bucketload, to ports credit they had most of the ball in the 2nd half but didn't threaten enough. 3 from 3, 12 goals scored, 0 conceeded. Off to bulleen next Monday night/labour day, traditionally a popular game that gets a big crowd and we haven't played at that ground for years, should be a fun night.

I posted this in the other thread about the matches being like training sessions and why the best results the club gets are in the early stages of the champions league as the team is in the process of establishing a big points lead in the league, once that lead is established to the point where it's all but mathematically over ( December) that's when the team also starts becoming useless in Europe. Moving forward this will be a serious issue for the club, when the inevitable occurs next year perhaps for certain league games they would be better off just playing the fringe players who will at least be hungry, a formula needs to be established to keep the entire playing roster on their toes.

The bergers are a decent side and will be in the finals mix south just crushed them last week and everything clicked, the Knights lost a lot of key players but for a proud club like that it's a disgraceful score line . Every team loses but I'd be livid if south ever copped 6 against anyone in this league, bentleigh also out 6 past Richmond so the goals are flying in. Another derby for Hellas away at port Melbourne on Friday night, this will be tricky as port purposely reduce the grounds size so they can shut opposing teams down, kid you not its a juniors ground these days and we always struggle there as we have no space to move the ball, basically becomes Russian roulette.

Olympiakos winning the league title is the equivalent of a big English club winning the carling cup these days.

The other teams need to lift and put up more of a challenge, the standard of today's 3-0 over Veroia was about 6 levels below Europa league level, training run intensity and players able to get away with poor technique. Anderlecht would be winning the same match by 5 goals without trying.

2nd game will be in melbourne on july 7 at etihad stadium which fits about 52,000. They must have known they had no chance of getting 90,000 again.

It wasnt as easy as scoreline suggests, they missed a penalty and hit the post to make it 1-1..but 2nd half south stepped it up piling on another 3 goals...cant complain with 10 goals in 2 games. Its strange cos we arent actually playing all that well.

I think we also need to accept that the state of the Greek league is also playing a huge part here, why is it every year olympiakos can pull off huge results in the early stages of the CL? Wins over Arsenal, Juve, athletic Madrid etc don't lie, I believe it's because the players are switched on because it's the early stages of the league, the problem is when the title is all but won in December the players treat the league games like training sessions, sure they try hard but the pressure is off, they can muck around and know even if a result goes against them they are so far in front they have nothing to worry about, switching from easy relaxed league mode to cutthroat European action mode is a major step up and now very regularly this team seems to get caught with its pants pulled down around February because they aren't prepared for the step up in intensity and pressure that accompanies European football.

The truth is the team lacks quality to compete on this stage, when you are depending on clowns like ideye up front you can't expect much. The team hasn't had a match winner since Campbell left.

Basing it on the night the anderlecht players were far superior, I lost count the amount of times our players first touch was terrible, ideye would get the ball in space and almost trip over himself trying to control it, they were far more crisp and fluid going forward. They played a perfect game and the ref screwed them with the penalty, to me they never looked worried, the longer the game went the more you knew which team was gonna come out on top.

The worst part is group stage champions league football for Greek clubs is finished for a very long time, because when the playoffs come around olympiakos have no idea how to play over 2 legs, that's why we are a rabble in Europa league, anderlecht played the 1st leg not to conceed an away goal,just because we had a few chances the Greek media started thinking that anderlecht were crap, when in reality they knew they could come to karaiskaki and 1 goal would kill us off, even going extra time it gave them 30 minutes to get an away goal..instead of chasing a 2nd and 3rd goal we retreated, just like we always do in a knockout scenario.

Anyone can see that anderlecht are a superior team, fully deserved win, fitter, faster and players are technically better on the ball, they also had the balls to go for the win when we were playing for extra time, another gutless European performance, after pulido missed that chance early in the 2nd half they dominated us.

It wasn't just Roberto it was the entire defence, they had 3 opportunities to clear the ball up the field, fkn idiots, if we copped a nice goal I can handle but to just hand it to them again is unforgivable.

What a disgraceful way to lose the tie, how many opportunities to clear the ball, anyway anderlecht deserve it they have been knocking on the door since the 70th minute, the whole year is a waste as far as I'm concerned.

Do away goals count in extra time?

Yeh 3,600, excellent crowd considering the billionaires were playing at the same time and only got just over 7k at aami park, nice to see a lot of young faces in the crowd, non Greeks and plenty of females as well, corporate areas filled and of course a packed grand stand. Problem is due to the Grand Prix we have our next 6 games away from home so it's hard for us to build momentum, the day was such a success I think we could have had another big crowd with another home game. As for the game Heidelberg were not that bad, they actually dominated possession and pinned us back for lengthy periods in the 1st half without creating much,they had lots of corners and set pieces around our box which we dealt with comfortably. defensively they were a shambles though and we hit them with some deadly counter attacks. Honestly I think if we didn't take off a few of our key players we could have hit them for double digits, as it turned out round 1 on a hot day took the safe option and just mucked around in the 2nd half. In general play it didn't feel like your typical smashing but when we broke forward with speed they couldn't get near us, the way we moved the ball from defence to attack at times you almost forgot you were watching local soccer lol I think what this result has taught us is that pre season means nothing, Heidelberg went undefeated in all the friendly games they played and look a million bucks, by contrast south were very ordinary and some of our friends from Sydney would say the same thing when we played Olympic , but it's obvious after Sunday's performance that we were piss farting around in the practice games and had our sights set on this one, for round 1 we looked extremely sharp and we were so clinical with our chances.

Pains me to say it but I think the tie is over, no away goal scored, anderlecht is bound to get one on the counter attack in the return leg, that means Oly will need to score 3 and that's simply not gonna happen IMO, hope I'm wrong.

Olympiakos simply have to play for the win, you can't bunker down on the edge of the box and allow Ozil, Sanchez etc to play around the box for 90 minutes, they will create and score. We know Arsenal must score 2 goals to have any chance of advancing, that small buffer should be used to come out and attack and chase that goal that will make the task incredibly tough for them. Now if it's somehow 0-0 in the 75th minute by all means shut the game down knowing Arsenal must score twice, but the start is the important part, they must show intent.

Don't care about the Bosnians either way, if anything maybe losing today will hurt the confidence levels going into World Cup qualifying.

Most people I know here have had it for 2 years with no problems, safe to say for them it's more then Paid itself off. You just need a seller that's up to date with what's going in with Kodi. Most people don't even get it for Greek TV....I mainly use it for TV shows from America and movies. Like always people should do research before they buy, the one amorgos listed is running Kodi 14.2...already out of date and would work a bit erratically...that's the danger of purchasing online...my seller upgraded me to 15.2 last week..box is working flawlesslY, he also does house calls for elderly Greeks who have no clue, basically you need to find someone that's hands on with it,

That's the type of box amorgos, that's an m8s, I have the m8., I have no idea which boxes are better but so far I'm happy with mine. Sheriff, pre loaded means that the Greek stuff and the other goodies are already installed on the box for you, if you are tech savvy you could do it yourself, boxes that are pre loaded will cost you more most likely. Your ert box is a sattelite box and is worthless now, the android boxes are pretty small you can carry them around and plug and play wherever you want really provided an Internet connection exists. It's a bit of a grey area in terms of legality, technically it's not because you aren't downloading what your watching, you're streaming it, the guy that I got it from promotes it in the middle of a popular Melbourne shopping mall and sits there showing people playing with the remote all day, so it's not like it's top secret undercover stuff. To run the Greek channels and to be able to watch TV shows/movies you will need at least an adsl internet connection, preferably adsl2...this should be able to run medium quality content but live sport will most likely buffer, if you have cable internet you will be able to watch hd streams with ease. You can watch movies on here that are at the cinemas now! The advantage I have with the guy that sold it to me is that he can update my box with the latest updates every few months, took it into him last week and he did it in about 20 minutes, now it's working even better, beware if you are purchasing off eBay, if you aren't tech savvy and you run into problems it might be a struggle for you, if you live in Melbourne or Sydney you should be able to find places selling these easily.

I picked up an android box from a seller here in Melbourne, being completely clueless a few months ago I got it pre loaded but now I'm learning how do stuff on my own, the box is basically plug and play, it will cost you anywhere between $80 to $250 depending on what box you get and who you get it from, I stumbled upon this at a mall shopping place in Melbourne, saw lots of Greeks checking it out, decided to investigate and next thing I know I had a little box in my hands lol. Using it is fairly simple and it's not just for Greek...forget Netflix and cable TV you can pretty much watch every movie and the majority of TV shows ever made, the new ones as soon as they air overseas. I've cut out most of the channels on Foxtel and just kept the sport, the box has sport as well with lots of channels but they can be a bit hit and miss. As far as the Greek stuff highly recommend it if your from Australia, basically every program that's on live gets programmed into the system under a TV shows/news section, to give you an eg you have a popular show like brousko on ant1..this airs live in oz at 6am/9pm in Greece....not to worry about 2 hours later it will be available in the TV shows section when you click on brousko....it's just very convenient. Best money I've ever spent and cut my cable bill by a huge amount. Also coverage of epl is excellent with games in good quality, something to think about with Foxtel having lost the rights.

I've had it for a few months, it's brilliant, also got to watch olympiakos v dinamo Zagreb live on ert1 as I think they have the rights to olympiakos CL home games, watched a few of greeces miserable World Cup qualifiers on mega as well. As far as live Greek channels and movies/TV shows you can't go wrong. Another app on Kodi called sports devil, it's a bit hit and miss in regards to Greek super league games but I've watched a few, even watched a few second division games from Greece as well, you won't get ote or nova, however the nova catchup channels you receive update with highlights packages as soon as games are completed which is perfect for waking up on a Monday morning when you can't watch in the middle of the night in Australia, you also get the nova TV shows which are pretty in depth. Where do I find this cloud TV? I recommend Hellenic TV in combination with this Greek live ap as well, I know a lot of Cypriots were complaining that Hellenic TV wasn't playing riksat and a few others but this one does...using both is Greek heaven.
