This was the same crap everyone was saying this time last season when the gauro had some good results come their way, and we saw how they ended their season. Its the same crap every year. No substance, just the gauro doing everything in their power to pocket the 30 million.

The only thing that bothers me about this guy is that hes rarely stayed at any club more than two years. However he's also the guy who built the golden era Sevilli so he's definitely got what it takes to bring in some good players and build a solid squad......lets see...anything over that bitching barbie jimenez. Just the sound of his name makes me angry. Manolo Jimenez: 50 games with AEK 25 wins.....8 draws......17 LOSSES Zaragosa: 22 wins.....11 draws.....33 LOSSES and then B division Qatar........enough said! BTW just so we have a bigger picture of wtf our management did...Traianos Dellas: 46 wins.....5 draws....3 losses

Exactly, we push away the people who have time and time again come back to help AEK and we let people who dumped us for the gauro TWICE run the show. This is why AEK has been in shambles these last years, because of fans like the aek365 mob, xatzixristous, and other idiots being appeased by inept management.

They're trying their hardest to appease the loudest and dumbest section of our fan base.....the president of our team spent the next day talking to some random Original fans about the future of the team, what does that tell you? These are the type of people who go on AEK365 and word vomit any idiotic idea that comes to their head. Just go to the site right now. Aside from a few knowledgeable posters most of them think Jimenez is a competent coach and some are begging for them to bring back..............wait for it...............LORENZO SERRA FERRER!!! The guy who pretty much destroyed Demi's legacy (we were still paying this pos years later) and almost wasted away the best team we had seen in years. The guy who wasted players like Hetemaj, Kloser, Julio Cezar, and Mnduca, players who went on to tear it up in the years after. The guy who hasn't coached in 7 years!!! THESE ARE THE TYPE PEOPLE DUSAN AND TIGIR ARE ANSWERING TO! I guess I was completely wrong about our post c division management. 1 step forward and 10 steps back.

Reaper I don't think you have enough to base your assumption on and "disaster" is definitely overblown. Fact of the matter is AEK have played the most entertaining and fundamentally impressive soccer we've seen in at least 5-7 years, under Della. The guy made a few mistakes in his first years with the club and rather than call out the mistakes so we can learn and move on, people were asking for the man's head. He had a budget that was less than half of the budgets we had in previous years and I won't even mention contract signings. Considering his youth and the youth of the team, dusan and tigri jumped the gun way too quickly. This rushed move today along with just the sound of the name Jimenez takes us back to very dark times in our history. Its safe to say that if jimenez takes over this club I will not be watching as it will solidify the fact that we spent 2 years in lower divisions to end up exactly where we were during the Agamidi era.

My ###### worst nightmare is coming to life right before my eyes. Dellas gone and them looking at............Jimenez. Expect week after week of bitching and moaning about our players, a roller coaster of 4-0 wins one week and 3-0 losses the other. Thats what I'm wondering because we DID have the option of adding a year to Chrisantus' contract and they did. So I guess Chrisantus > Laferty this summer.....honestly my patience is starting to run thin with this guy...either show something or gtfo. No more ###### smiling just ###### do your job and when you dont look miserable. lol Its like the guy has NO IDEA where he is.

Btw I'd like to personally give out a big F U to our friends posting over at AEK365, that site literally picks which posts show up on their comments section and 90% of them are anti-della guillotine posts. Della is young and he's making a lot of dumb mistakes as of late but the guy has it in him to bring the squad together and play. Had we not been butchered up until the 75th minute our team was set up well and I actually liked the ball we were playing. Give the guy time and let him grow with us. It isn't his fault tha the has 3 dekaria and no CF, limitations on the wings, and no experienced CB, he's just working with what he has.

Win or lose it doesn't take away from the fact that we went into the season without an experienced CB and no proper CF. This team isn't fit enough to have atromito/pas like games all season and if our gaping holes in the front and back aren't taken care of by January, we will be severely drained in the second half of the season.

@Amorgo, Tzanetopoulo started as a DM for our squad last year, it wasn't until Kolovetsio got injured that we were forced to play him in the CB position. As for Mellisanidi, c'mon guys were talking about the guy who took over OPAP, he's got all the cards in his hands right now and up until a few months ago he was vocal about all the shady dealings of Olympiako. Right now we are relying on APOLLON SMIRNHS to push the case regarding Veroia and the gauro fixing their match. Alafouzos is constantly battling the gauro, and Savidi is getting more vocal as well. The only one taking a back seat right now is Tigri, and I understand he's got a lot on his plate especially with the stadium but in that case bring in someone who can be a REAL full time president and not a cardiologist.

Look guys I agree that calling for people's heads is not the way to go right now and that without tigri we would be in the same condition the skouliakia are right now BUT I have to agree with Original 21 in that no one is above criticism. Since the beginning of the season I have been saying to keep the tones low as we will primarily be looking for a play off spot. For what ever reason people in the team started talking about the title and putting insane expectations on the team. Now, I don't know if most of it was just media hype or if Melissanidi really ever said any of these things but he certainly never came out to deny them, or to calm the crowd either. From my own personal experience, I met Melissanidi a few months ago at the AEK fan club. Although he didn't say much, when asked about signings he told us all that the he is here and that the team will bring in good players and most importantly ANY need the team has will be fulfilled. In my opinion spending more money when in B division than you do your first "Erxomaste" year in A division is inexcusable. The mistakes that were made this summer were stingy and the difference between a good team and a great team could have been made with two decent signings. Instead you are going into derbies playing a 20 year old DM (who is good but in now way someone to trust on a weekly basis) as a CB, and a 24 year old inconsistent 2nd option defender. In offense you have a player that has been injured since August, Another player who's career is probably over, an Aravidi who is not a lone striker CF, and a player who is nearing a year at the club and has not impressed anyone. I won't even mention the fact that we don't have a true LW as that problem is minor , but the other two problems are extreme. The summer stingyness is not only embarrassing us because every week scoring is a major issue but also because out of the 3 options you had for CF, one of them paid for himself, and the other two are tearing it up right now. These are moves that a serious leader does not make. When you spend your entire time in B division creating anticipation and adding fuel to the rivalry with Marinaki you don't go into your "Hrthame" year having only bought ONE contract. If you want to talk the talk you've got to back it up as well. As far as the issue of corruption is concerned, we haven't see any serious progress there either. I hope its true that Melisanidi is waiting for the stadium issue to progress before he turns the engines on. But until then he has to make his intentions and actions clear because this past summer was one giant ###### mess of contradicting statements and contradicting actions. Like I've said other times, my biggest frustration comes from the fact that I really like this squad and with two necessary signings this team could have really been a lever higher and been a true title contender but they decided to skimp 90% of the way through.

Im glad he said that.....he called Tigri out on what we've (AEK fans) been saying all season. But at the same time the game needs to clean up before you can talk purely about financial backing or transfers.

I agree on everything Original21 but these are words for another day. Like I said before, you could have had Pujol in the back and Messi int he front and they would have found a way to win with the help of their 12th man. You felt the corruption from the first minutes of the game and trust me, had the game been closer till the end we would have seen much worse. If this doesn't change first you can spend as much money as you want and theyll fix the matches against you.

Aside from the fact that a man who was court ordered to stay away from soccer is still making public announcements as president of the team, i think Marinakis' post game s%$#! talking was the best thing that could have happened to us. You can't have an inconsistent (who was good today) Lampropoulo and a 20 year old DM Tzanetopoulo to completely crumble once Simoes is taken out of the mix. Our preseason decisions to not get a CF and CB were disastrous , thank god Didac has beena good move up until now. Hopefully the fataoul's words light a fire under gatouli.

Bro the entire progression of the match was changed because of a non existent goal and a good half dozen of our dangerous plays being whistled by non existent calls. Had the gauro not scored that goal the team doesn't open up as much and you also keep Simoes on the field. All three goals came as a result of the missing Simoes on the field. 70th minute with no score and this turns into a completely different game.

When AEK players were fouled there were no calls and when Olympiako players dove there were calls. Countless times where the ref was supposed to pull out yellows he didn't.... instead he gave us yellows and even to our BENCH! (where else do you see s%$#! like this...........but lets get passed that....lets exclude the numerous wrong foul calls............ ........you have 3 plays where a player could have been tet a tet whistled offside when the play wasn't even close....this is at 0-0 and 1-0........then you have a goal that was scored off of a foul before the corner and after the corner.........This play changes the entire progression of the game. .......the team opens up and in order to add more attacking options Dellas takes out Simoes. We expose Tzanetopoulo who on three occasions puts the team in danger and two of them lead to goals. Is there any doubt in here that the actions of the ref and linesmen before the 75th minute was the deciding factor in how this game progressed? Had you been at 0-0 at 75 does Della still take out Simoes to try and get a goal? No he doesnt. Like Demi and I have said, there is no need for a soccer analysis here as this result was dictated by pre-existing factors.

First goal is a non goal, in any other league that is a FOUL.........and then show me the in between plays. I want the 3-4 ghost offsides, the countless fouls called in the wrong directions, the non cards on clear pulling and shirt tugging.....show me all that.
