  1. Like I said on the days AEL signed Zurawski and Metin, AEL will push for a European spot now, and next season they'll def be there if they can add one or two good signings to the squad over the summer. However, Boukouvalas is not one of them. In the u-19 championships Greece's biggest weaknesses were the full backs. If Boukouvalas is getting exposed at u-19 level imagine what would happen to him in the Superleague or even in the UEFA Cup.
  2. Then there's no excuse for your poor judgement!(Just kidding dude). :P
  3. The coach can't just throw him in... McDonald has been amazing for Celtic and scores goals for fun. If Samaras wants to play alongside him he has to earn it.
  4. This is irrelevant. British players are generally hugely overpriced! Hence the reason Wenger says he doesn't delve in the British market much. Hutton is ridiculously overpriced, that doesn't mean the Scottish league has quality. He's no better than Patsa. There was NT football and it was the first game he played since you posted ;) That's why you'll never be a manager! :P As for Samaras' finishing being better than Salpi's...
  5. No, I watch him in full 90 minute matches frequently, however I'm also pointing out that I also see EVERY one of his games on extended highlights. So unlike you, i am not basing my judgement on a few glimpses of him here and there. He is way below average in the standard of the Prem... with a bit of luck and alot of hard work he might develop into an average Prem player in a few years from now. That's not good enough for NT football.
  6. I realise that he was far from the finished article when at AEK but I always admired him. I hope we get to see him in Serie A soon.
  7. Would you care to quote specific examples, because I live in the UK and watch extended highlights of all the Premiership games every week and I can only remember 3 games where he played well. Charlton, Sunderland and West Ham. You know it'll be a nice weathered-day when you see dawn. (Just doesn't have the same impact in an English translation does it?) :P 22 is not that young (and he's 23 in a few days). We are not discussing a 19 year old here. He's older than Rooney, exactly one year younger than Adebayor, 2 years older than Ben Arfa and Benzema, etc. These players are great players/prospects and you say "Samaras is still young". Young enough for what? Young enough to develop into an average player? They went through a bad spell and he was crap. They went through an average spell where they weren't losing but couldn't score either and he was crap. They went through a transitional stage and he was crap. And they went through a s%$#! hot phase this season when they were 4th and had the best home record in the league (played 9, won 9), and he was crap! Stuart Pearce is below average! And that's further reinforced by the fact that he paid
  8. Personally, I've never said he's arrogant. But he is lazy, and unless you are an amazingly gifted talent that's something you cannot have in modern football. On top of that he has no physical presence whatsoever. He's weak and slow and his finishing isn't very good either. If he was at Levadiako instead of Celtic we wouldn't even be talking about this kid. When he first went to City I was the only one saying he wasn't good enough, you all mocked me. The City fans turned on him, you all said they were idiots and the only reason he wasn't playing well was because the players around him weren't offering the necessary support. Pundits like Alan Shearer and Alan Hansen were saying he isn't good enough for the Prem, followed by Pearce giving up on him and the media labelling him in the worst 100 premiership transfers ever and you all said they were idiots. Sven gave him a chance before giving up on him and you all criticise the Swede. He's now 5th choice in Otto's striking line up but you're all still adament that he's a paixtara. At what point will you admit he isn't good enough? Does he have to sign for Ioniko for you to realise it?
  9. He used to be a starter for Greece, now he's 4th or 5th choice... That's practically giving up.And what do you mean I hate him? I love the guy, I just don't rate him. There's a difference!
  10. You're kidding right??? The Greek league is vastly superior to the Scottish league! Celtic and Rangers are decent sides (would probably challenge for the Greek league title, but i don't think they'd win it), the rest of those teams are comprised of bums!!! Did you see Samaras' goal for Celtic? That was easier than the Sunday league down the road from me. So first the Man City fans give up on Samaras, then Pearce gives up on him, then Sven gives up on him, then Otto gives up on him... but everyone is deluded and he's a great talent. As for Vassell, he scored in Man City's 2-1 win over Man Utd at Old Trafford.
  11. Yeah... their football is almost as beautiful and effective as PAO's!
  12. Lua Lua and Nunez can't play up front together. We'd never score any goals. Either Kovacevic will continue to defy time, Konstantinou gets fit, or we buy a proper target man. Otherwise we'll end up like PAO and never be able to break teams down.
  13. I think he will play at Celtic and he will do very well... leading to the delusion among many Greek fans (and probably Otto too) that he's amazing all of a sudden. But, congrats to him on his goal today.
  14. Here's a highlight reel of Leonardo. He seems to be a fantastic athlete but not great technically (i.e. his control isn't very good and his crossing isn't great either). He's still young though and if he can improve those parts of his game he could be a real weapon in the future.
  15. I agree, but we know that football doesn't work like that.
  16. Larissa completed the signing of Celtic's Polish international striker Maciej "Magic" Zurawski for
  17. Me too. I'm even sceptical that Bellushi is a v.good player let alone this bum!
  18. Just want to add that Strachan is a quality manager and a man that really understands the game. If he is hands on with Samaras he should see an improvement.
  19.  Aek66, you're spot on with your post mate.
  20. That's right. I've also heard that he can't defend for s%$#!. I'm also wondering about whether the "new Roberto Carlos" would be playing in Brazil's B division <_< Maybe he's just cover until Domi and Bravo get back.
