Arouna Dindan from Lens may be on his way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDf-OQjUh70 Sportime.gr also claims that 19 year old Mustafa Bangoura may be on his way. I'm not sure who this is. I know Alhassan Bangoura plays for Watford so unless they've mixed the 2 up I don't know who they're talking about. Anyone have any info on him?

Have you heard any rumours on if they'll they keep him in the team if they go up? Or will they look to strengthen?

I actually think Celtic are a better side. Maybe it's just that Rangers have their number.
-
I doubt it. Everyone says he's a model professional (Bochum's manager, Otto, etc). Besides, I don't blame him for having an attitude problem. He's probably their best player (along with Barnetta) and he's on the bench?

Yes, but I think one of the games is cup game (but don't hold me to that).

Disappointing news... Rangers 1-0 Celtic. Which puts Rangers 6 points clear, with a game in hand. So, no league title for Samaras this year. Rangers have now kept a clean sheet against Celtic in their last 4 games.

According to the British press, Celtic are preparing a

ela dude.. just another example of his arrogance may come from an article in todays edition of the times:“It doesn’t matter whether it’s Gretna, Rangers or Barcelona, I think I can score in all games,” Samaras said. in answer to your other question i would personally prefer a down to earth player and a quiet achiever, someone who has respect for his opposition and does not talk wishfully about his capabilities in order to get into the starting 11.. for example with the statement samaras made above.. what if he doesnt score against the rangers and plays shocking.. wouldnt his comment sound irrelevant? confidence is always good aslong as your not too overconfident.. i think samaras is the type of player who is over-confident You make a very good point file, I'm just not sure whether that is just plain confidence or over-confidence. It's rare for a player (particularly a striker) to be a queit over-acheiver. You have to have a certain arrogance, a self-belief, a flamboyane. You have to believe that no defender in the world can stop you. It's the only way to get goals. If he had Zlatko Zahovic type arrogance (i.e. saying he was too good to play with his fellow countrymen in the Slovenian national team), or Joey Barton (who said he was carrying the team and the foreign players need to pull their socks up), or Totti (who many times is too worried about the appearance of his hair rather than his performances) then it becomes a problem because it disrupts the team and negatively affects the players performance. Other than in a situation like that, it doesn't worry me what he says. In fact, in some cases it can help. C. Ronaldo said he wanted to break Man Utd's goal-tally record in a single season (32 by George Best), he has 33 so far already. Amanatidis said in an interview that he knew he would score the winner against Turkey and he was telling all his Greek teammates before the game... and he did. Gerrard said that the Liverpool players got so wound up by Milan when they were 3-0 down at half time in the CL final that they knew they would come back! ( :o ). Self-confidence is imperative for an athlete and if it's that or an inferiority complex which he had at Man City for a long time, then I'd rather he was confident. As long as it doesn't tip over into the Zahovic-Barton-Totti type arrogance it's all good file.

I'm surprised that so many people here think he's arrogant, I've never thought that. Wouldn't you rather have him high on confidence than low on confidence though? The Celtic fans have really taken to him, and if that means he goes into Euro 2008 bubbling with confidence and ready to show his skill to the world, then I'm happy. Great reaction as he comes on from the bench: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tft3sxF8PGg...feature=related (Wost chant in the world!) "Ooh, Ah Samaras, Say ooh ah Samaras!"

I'm not a big fan of Green's to be honest. He's a stable keeper, but rarely pulls of great saves. As England's number 3 he'd be fine, but because you guys are so strong in that position I think there are better keepers. Robinson has been linked with Villa so if he goes I'm sure he'll sort out his career. So I think next year he'll be no.2 behind James.Congratulations on today's results btw. The league is by no means over but you're def in the driving seat now. Arsenal have been shocking in the last 5 games and have once again showed that they do not have the grit, mental strength or the defensive solidarity to be champions. Let's not even discuss Liverpool (although I thought Mascherano's red was a joke). Chelsea seem to be picking up momentum and will give you guys a run for your money imo. But I still think Man Utd are the most ruthless team in the league, and I really can't see you blowing 5 points (in effect 6 because of the GD). But having said all that I'll refrain won't congratulate you on the league just yet! :P Btw, what's your view on Ronaldo? Are you in the camp that believes he's as good as George Best, the best in the world, etc. Or do you feel that he under-performs in the big games. It's a weird one because although he has 33 goals this year (amazing!!!!!) he only has 4 assists, which for a winger is poor. And although he scored today, he didn't play well, and he never seems to play well against the very best. So what's the reason for it? Is he overrated or is just coincidence in your opinion?

Kirkland?!

You're asking wayyy to much. If you want that, it isn't a new coach we need, it's a new squad! Lemoni did a great job with what he's got. Tell me, if what you want is attacking football and a domination of the league, what was wrong with Sollied?

File what is the definition of these ratings? In the UK we (people and newspapers) seem to go by the Championship Manager ratings. So it is the general consensus that: 4 or lower = an abysmal performance that cost your team the game 5 = below average. 6 = Average. 7 = Mainly average but contributed an extra bit, so an average player on a winning team that did his job well may get a 7. 8 = A very good performance, played a major role in the game. 9 = A match winning performance. 10 = The perfect performance. It's obvious that by referring to a 6.6 as "lofty" the definition of the mark is different, so how do you and the Italian newspapers define these marks? well, obviously the numbers are alot more conservative in italy. in italy, a '6' isn't bad at all. i'd say a 5.5.-6 would be average/not bad. anything over '6', is good...a '7' is particulary good. a 7.5 is very good - eye opening, man of the match numbers. '8' is sublime.even in the days of baggio scoring a free kick goal and assisting on 2 others, baggio at the most, would get a 8.5. i've never seen anything higher than a '9', though i'm sure they have been given. la gazzetta dello sport is the most respected football newspaper in the country. look on a monday...and you'll see players that score a rare hat-trick graded 7.5 or 8. anything higher than an 8 is rarely given out. the italians are absolutely anal on this stuff and i may roll my eyes at times, i respect them 100% in their football traditions and football accumen. when i watch the greek national team, i try to grade them like this. i think the highest grade i ever gave was an '8' or '8.5'. i've seen you or others throw 9's and 10's around and it's your opinion, but i'm used to the italian way. moras averaged a 6.6 for his last match, which is very good in italian standards. i've heard of championship manager...understand it's a game...not sure what they base their grades on. in germany, i believe players are rated 1-5...not much lee-way there. Ok thanks, i asked so i could understand how well Moras has been playing. Thanks. here's an example of how the bologna side got rated by 1 source (corriere dello sport), just for this instance. mind you, bologna won 2-0 AWAY and played well..not the same type of marks that you would give based on your example.adailton (penalty) and valiani scored in the 1st half for bologna. moras and bombardini for bologna got booked. moras played well, along with marazzina and goalscorer valiani. antonioli (6) - terzi (6), moras (7), castellini (6.5), bonetto (6.5); mingazzini (6.5), carrus (6.5), valiani (7); adailton (6) (lavecchia 61' (6)); fava (5.5) (bucchi 78' (incomplete)), marazzina (7) (bombardini 68' (5.5)). Ok, i understand. It's very different from in the UK. Obviously, it's not the grade per se that matters but the definition of that grade, that why I asked. Also, do booking affect the grade? In the UK unless someone get's sent off, a yellow card will not affect the grade.

Nottingham Forrest want to sign Konstantopoulos on loan. GO BACK TO GREECE RE m#$%!!

That's a really cool collection dude! There's one you don't have that I do though... a fake that I begged my mum to buy from the market when I was a little kid! :P

Greece lost 2-0 (same as Portugal to Ireland) so Greece are out.

Greece have a big game tonight against the Germans. If I'm not mistaken, we must get a better result against Germany than Portugal get against Ireland for us to qualify. GERA KAI ME TSAMPOUKA PAIDIA! :gr:
-
Mate you're preaching to the converted. Despite the delusions of many of the Greek posters here :P England has an array of world class (or potentially world class) goal keeping talents. It'll be interesting to see who Capello goes with. Personally I think James is top class & should be no.1 .

Following Leverkusen's 4-1 win (inc. the 2 goals from Gekas! ) & Weder Bremen's 0-1 defeat to Wolfsburg. Leverkusen are now 3rd, in a CL spot!! We may see Gekas in the CL next year where he belongs!!! Gera Leverkusen, gera!!

He had a great game! The save to deny Miller was great and may win you the league! Bear in mind they would have been 1-0 up if he scored that. He looks quite good.

Larisa have been on fire since January! Zurawski and Metin both scored again today in their 5-1 win over OFI. Looks like the hunt for the UEFA Cup spots in the league will be very exciting indeed!
