The red card was definitely justified, but the penalty was not a pen!!! It was in direct view of the linesman who didnt give it, and the ref who wasnt well positioned overuled him!!

We've responded very well to their goal. It looks like we can definitely equalize.

Both our full backs (no. 2 & 5) are getting arse raped!! Thats been the main difference in this game. Germany 1-0 Greece.

I'm watching the game, so far we're ok. Germany are the better side but its a pretty solid display at the back and when we do get the ball to Ninis and Mitroglou they play the ball well. Nini in particular is looking confident. They move the ball particularly well though and at times we're giving too much room in front of our defence allowing Boateng to shoot a couple of times. The commentators have also just said that Ninis is expected to join Real Madrid within the next month! :o I mean I knew they were watching him but didnt know he was on the verge of signing!

Gekas played his first game for Leverkusen today in a friendly against AZ Alkamaar. Leverkusen won 4-0 and Gekas scored 2!! The Czech-Greek, Papadopoulos, also got on the score sheet. :gr:

Its probably the worst I've seen us play but the team did what was necessary. Solid at the back led by a brilliant performance by Papastathopoulos at the back. Only criticism I have of him is that he looks for the long ball far too often. If AEK work with him to teach him to play the simple ball to midfield he'd be ready for the NT imo. Mitroglou also looked good on the ball, although he wasnt involved much. Ninis had a poor game but his disappointment at being subbed was evident and that shows that he recognised his contribution wasnt good enough. We look solid and we know that in Mitroglou and Ninis we can cause problems going forward. With a bit of luck we could go all the way. From a negative sense, the passing wasnt up to scratch, particularly Koutsianikoulis (number 13) who couldnt pass the ball for s%$#!!! We have to work on that as well as our tempo.

First 13 mins and we've barely had a touch of the ball! We've got to get Ninis on the ball and feed Mitroglou because we can't just keep everyone in our own half for 90 mins because we'll definitely lose!
