  1. Ranieri tried that and we saw the disaster that ensued. That said, this is a different/young team that looks like it is buying into the coach's strategy....

  2. I’n all honesty in order for us to have a chance at 2nd in this group JVS has to call up Manolas and Siovas and then you have a back line of them with Hatz and Tsimikas. You need to bench Bakasetas and have Fortounis in the middle and the wingers should be Tziolis, Liminos, Masouras and Fountas. I would also like to see Donis he has good one on one speed and quick feet. As far as our Midfield its an Issue and so is the striker position. Pavlidis hasn’t showed me anything.

  3. Being saying it from day 1, Svarnas playing in the Ethniki is a huge m*****a, shouldn’t be at AEK let alone the National Team

  4. I have thought of this previously. The easiest way for the club to do this would be to scout some girls of Greek descent here or in NA or maybe Germany where they've had a more extensive grounding than the greek girls.

  5. I think the key saying is “we should not fear them.” Shoot , Tzolis is an 18 year old going up against Benfica, Besiktas, PSV, etc... Yes , they mostly have better players, but better players do not always win games. We have to believe that we will win (players not us fans). I think the team is confident in themselves and each other that they can contend with sweden

  6. Correct. Needs to start at a grassroots level. But interest needs to be there first. If you can get a couple quality players to go overseas and play for PAOK, then we may do better in Europe , raising awareness for the team. Then we could start doing clinics, camps, etc...

  7. The problem being, if you don't have a grass roots level system, how can you have an elite system. It would be like Australians trying to compete on an international level in Ice Hockey, or Americans in cricket.

  8. Forsberg is a solid player and Kulusevski is playing at Juventus and is a young talented player but do Sweden make us quiver in our boots? I don’t think so.. A few years back Greece went into Belgium vs one of the best sides on the world and came within a few minutes of a win and then we went back and forth with them in Athens and they narrowly beat us. Belgium a team that knocked out Brazil in the wcup and almost went to the final. Sweden are a hardworking side for sure but Greece should not fear them. If JVS has the best eleven playing & the right system in place Greece can get 4 points from the Swedes. Spain on the other hand is a totally different story.

  9. But how will he overcome his fundamental unlikability? Crippling in a management role!
