  1. Rota is not a good option back there, Baldock getting injured reminded us that the RB position was a big issue before him.

  2. Baldock ruled out due to injury, that's a blow. My confidence in us getting a result has dropped with the news, Rota is poor defensively and gets found out often. In a game where we are going to have to be solid at the back, it does hurt our chances. Going to need a big defensive shift from Masouras (which he is capable of)and the mids to support Rota at right-back. No surprises in the reported starting XI but of course we won't know for sure until an hour before kick-off. Mavropanos is suspended due to the send off v France in June. ----------Vlachodimos Rota----Retsos---Xatzidiakos---Tsimikas -------Kourbelis----Siopis-----Bakasetas (playing as a 10) Masouras----Giakoumakis/Pavlidis----Mantalos

  3. Yes we need Ireland to get a draw but that looks like a tall task. Missing Mavropanos and Baldock was a huge blow. Also Fortounis can’t have a spot on this team? The midfield play was atrocious.

  4. Our only hope is now that Netherlands somehow drops points in Ireland and we beat Gibraltar so we stay ahead of them. Best case scenario now is we face Netherlands at home either up a point or tied. If that doesn’t happen then on to the nations league for a 2nd chance.. Just so disappointed how this team played i don’t know what to make of it. Was it just a bad night or is this the real reality of this team?

  5. Disgraceful! Worst performance since a 3 nil loss to Italy in a euro qualifier under coach Ange!

  6. Good to see us lose to the Netherlands by the same margin that Gibraltar did.. What a f***ing embarrassment.. Im not even upset that we lost this game if it was a competitive game but to be losing 3 nothing by the 30 minute mark is absolutely disgusting… The biggest game for this team and that’s how we come out… This reminds me of the Croatia game in the playoffs under Skibbe.. No words..

  11. Need France to beat Ireland too. To essentially make this a 3 team race for 2 spots.

  12. Huge blow not having Baldock and Mavropanos. Rota will get exposed big time. Poyet during his pre-game press conference said when asked if they will try to attack more "It all depends if we have this one injury that i was told that may make us change our game plan" he was talking about Baldock. he knows now they cant be that aggressive down the right side with Rota back there. Badlock was doing a good job joining the play and crossing the ball in.

  13. Flying to Greece tonight. Was supposed to be going to a wedding in Andros, however the bride yet again caught the groom with cocaine but this time when she confronted him he got all aggressive and started shouting Χριστοπαναγίες. Needless to say the bride cancelled everything. I guess we will just have to enjoy a long weekend away in Athens instead.
