No better time to play Benfica than now. Its a one match tie and anything can happen. Over 2 legs the better teams usually progress so I'm glad we got them now. We have already guaranteed Europa group so we have nothing to lose. Pame PAOKARA!!

Worst possible draw. We are not qualifying to the next round. Dinamo Kiev would have been better, and Gent the best just to have a better chance to get our hands on the cool 5 mil. I think we are going to this game with much weakened squad compared to last years matchup against Ajax. Youth enthusiasm can only get you so far. I think we should just be preparing for the group stage of Europa League and hope for the best.

It's up to him to grab the chance given to him. If he can't do it now it's time to move on.

One game suits us, it'll be tough but we showed the blue-print in the Besiktas game. Defend and hit on the counter we have the pace to cause problems. Also if we win we are playing Kransador in the play-offs, since Ukrainian and Russian teams have to be kept apart. UEFA will make that official tomorrow when they hold the "draw" for the play-off round.

Not too sure. If it were fixed, we’d surely get the away game. Plus Kyiv got matched at home with AZ. That’s a real difficult game for the Dutch. One game scenario, we can do this. If we win we will be seeded in our next round though.

Well were they to blame against the Faroes and Lichtenstein? We can all blame this and that but at the end of the day players like Tachtsidis, Samaris, Sokratis, Manolas, Mitroglou, Kone, Lazaros and others couldn’t even put away the Faroes. You can blame bad coaching or poor attacking but against teams like them you shouldn’t really have a hard time. Or even concede. Now with Van’t Schip we are playing better football. Which tells me that the coaching were the problem for all this happening. He has come and sort of laid down the law so to speak. He made tough decisions and started a rebuild. He and his team don’t accept arrogance and egos in the team. Also saying that we had Siovas as the CDM should mean that we shouldn’t concede with an extra CB. Also we had 2 actual CDMs in Kourbelis and Samaris next to him. How are we supposed to attack properly with these guys in midfield? What’s the excuse for Sokratis and Manolas not to concede? The had an extra CB in front of them and 2 DMs. Fortounis played striker that game aswell which made it even harder for us to start attacking. Those were poor decisions made by Anastasiadis. Tactics were all over the place. To conclude, there’s no excuse that we lacked talent in the team. We just didn’t have players who wanted to bleed for the shirt instead we had Mykonos fc and players blaming others for their mistakes. The team weren’t a team and seemed like there were a lot of egos. There’s also a debate as to whether Sokratis and Manolas got complacent and didn’t even try 100%. As they knew that they were irreplaceable. Same can be said about Mitroglou to a certain extent.

I also think that Sokrates and Manolas did the right thing by saying what they did against the previous coach. It was the only way that EPO listened. As a professional, you want to have professional coaches. To not even game plan against Italy was negligent. To have them do a position which they never practiced in is absurd, changing only after Siovas said he was comfortable playing there as he never did it before (which by the way he told him for the first time on the pitch!!) Not saying they were not a problem but their complaints were valid. No one can deny that we have been playing better now.

It's ok if you guys prefer to see a left back as Stafylidis playing at CB or some no namers as Michailidis and Rota being chosen based in their average performance in a couple of games. Btw no Vlachodimos either and that clown Paschalakis is still around the team? Very bad selection overall, shows the complex towards Sokratis and Manolas the managers has when he calls up freaking Svarnas and 30year old Lambropoulos who's been rotating between the SECOND leagues of Spain and Germany..
