Dude Ive been complaining about our teams performance for the last 5 years man so now that we have a coach that finally got something to click and has the team looking confident and playing the most attractive football we've played in years WITHOUT manolas and Socratis you still want to complain??? Just give the guy a chance man..

Did some more research on the subject ... For reaching the EL group stage we are getting the following: € 2,920,000 - for making the group stage of EL € 2,777,130 - coefficient payment (based on 5-year coefficient in UEFA standings) € 2,000,000 (minimum) - 5,692,130 (maximum) - market pool (based on how many Greek teams make the group stage So far we have € 7,697,130 guaranteed If we qualify to the CL playoff round (and lose) we will receive an additional € 5,000,000 In group stage we will also receive € 570,000 for each win and € 190,000 for each tie. If we win the group we will get extra € 1,000,000. If we finish 2nd we will get € 500,000 If by any miracle we make the CL group stage we will make a lot of money. We will revisit this if it happens.

Reports are that if Paschalakis leaves, Rebbe already has a goaltender lined up. I have a feeling Rey will also leave (loan/free). There is a reason why he did not get any playing time in the two friendlies.

Michailidis and Tzolis have sort of come out of nowhere. They are both from the U/20's and got zero games during the regular season. In the play offs, Michailidis played 90 minutes in the last 4 games. Granted by then the title race was over so he got given a shot and seems to have seized the opportunity. With Ferreira now switching to a formation with 3 CB's it seems he will get even more game time. By all accounts he's good with his feet i.e. more technical than your average CB. How good is he ? Time will tell. I am kind of surprised by the call up, but maybe JVS is onto something. Even if he's not quite ready to play, just being in the NT environment might give him that shot of confidence to push his career along. He's got a decent free kick on him too. Check out his free kick at 4:33. Likewise with Tzolis. Got called up during the play offs. Started in a bunch of them and has shown enough to become part of the squad. He socred a goal nice goal in the play offs and popped in two against Besiktas so again there is something there. It's up to them now how far they can go. If they take their career seriously (more training, less Mykonos) and have some luck with injuries, who knows. Either way, it's refreshing to see youngsters like this with some potential being given an opportunity.

He’s a very solid defender, strong with head for clearing the ball and a strong tackler. He’s left footed so he plays on the left side of the new 3-CB formation. He tries to make these long cross field passes which works sometimes, but also I’d like to see him play more simple. He didn’t have the best game against Besiktas, he was nervous and it showed. But the passion is there game in and game out.

All I know is when we had Sokratis and Manolas we were losing to heavy weights like Faroe Islands. In addition we were creating 2 or 3 good chances per match! What was worse though, was the brand of football we were playing. It was sad, I mean depressing and downright embarrassing. It was what you would see from a bunch of players who have retired and now play in pensioner leagues and can't be assed anymore. Compare that to what we have now where the team plays open football, runs and creates 20+ chances per game. I know which I prefer. As to how much Sokratis and Manolas are to blame we can only speculate. Maybe they are at fault, maybe they aren't and they've been made scapegoats. Unless you're in there in the club rooms and at the training sessions you can't really know. All I know is JVS kicked them out and now the team is flying in comparison to what it was. Maybe one day Manolas might get a call up and if so I trust JVS to make that decision. End of the day, I'm fine with both of them not being in the team because something was obviously *VERY* wrong.

J1078 is right. Give him a chance. I like the call ups he made. Most have been playing apart from 2 players which are Stafylidis because he wants him captain and Koulouris because we haven’t got many strikers. I would’ve liked to have seen Fetfatzidis because he can create something out of nothing but it’s fine. The goal is to go to Qatar. Van’t Schip is trying to rebuild something that is broken. He seems to care for the national team and wants the best for Greece. Let him do his thing because we haven’t gotten anywhere for the last 5 years

Johnny van 't Schip invited Tzolis for the Ethniki's games in the Nations League. Giannoulis, Michailidis, Paschalakis and Limnios are invited too. Pelkas was not invited dispite his good game yesterday.

Apparently "we sold our B' team" to an Australian businessman Bill Papas (Vasilis Papadimitriou). The selling price apparently depends if the Xanthi stays in Superleague 1. Otherwise the selling price is cut in half. And speaking of the relegation/promotion playoffs, it is being played right now wit Apollon completely dominating Xanthi and I have no doubts they will win the promotion. Xanthi is playing with their U17 team as all the players from this past season did not renew their contracts.

I'm with paokarag4 concerning El Kaddouri. He has very good technique and composure and I think that's why managers like him. He knows the game. He definitely switches on for bigger games or maybe it could be the extra space on the pitch suits him and he can play his game. For your average GSL match where the opposition park the bus he does seem disinterested and struggles to get into the match. He doesn't have that ability to impose himself or force a situation in those sorts of games. He has his place in the squad. Happy to have him if he'd like to stay but if he goes I think we'll be fine.

Fortunately Zivkovic had a good game. The pieces are there to get our act together defensively, but ultimately Besiktas was too sloppy to be able to capitalize on anything, fortunately. It's not just that your singing is incredible. The sheer range of emotion you can show with just an eyebrow raise is truly amazing. You are a credit to your people.

Μπήκα φουριόζος να πω πως το 4-3-3 δεν μας βγαίνει προς το παρόν, είδα όμως πως κάποιοι δημοσιογράφοι ήδη το επεσήμαναν. Είναι φυσικά ακόμη πολύ νωρίς, αλλά εμφανές ήδη το πρόβλημα που έχουμε στο δημιουργικό κομμάτι. Τόσο στην πρώτη πάσα στο 6άρι, όσο ΚΑΙ στο 10άρι. Και τούτο δεν μας πάει μπροστά. Χθες φάνηκε η απουσία του Ματίγια και η έλλειψη δημιουργικών χαρακτηριστικών του Jeggo. Γενικά η ομάδα θέλει απαραίτητα ένα δημιουργικό μέσο στον άξονα (8αρο-10άρι στην ανάγκη ώστε να βοηθά και τα δύο σχήματα) κι αυτό μας ξαναγυρνά στο γνώριμο 4-2-3-1 με παραλλαγές 4-3-3, ανάλογα τις αντοχές των μέσως και τους ρόλους πού θα έχουν στο γήπεδο. (Ο οποίος απλώνει τις δυνατότητες του σχήματος, αφού κάνει εφικτό και ένα ακόμη σχήμα, το 4-4-2 -Μάνο και Λόπεθ στη περιοχή-) Ωστόσο επιβαρύνεται κι άλλο το ταμείο, αλλά και το ρόστερ. Λογικά 2-3 μονάδες θα δοθούν δανεικοί. (Μαρτίνεθ-Μαντσίνι ίσως...), πλην όμως εμείς οφείλουμε να εστιάσουμε στην ομάδα. Γιατί δεν μας βγάνει ούτε ένα από όλα αυτά τα σχήματα. Πόσο μάλλον και τα τρία μαζί. Σε μια τέτοια περίπτωση ανεβαίνουμε σκαλί και πάμε στη κατηγορία Τσου-Λου. Αλλά για να το ελπίζουμε αυτό θέλει θαύματα...

I’ll be the first to complain about spending too much but this has been a unique offseason for everyone but even more so for Aris because of the ban. Aside from paying someone else’s debt they needed to fill a roster given how many contracts ended. The money spent certainly brings up many questions but at this point I’ll just cross my fingers and hope for the best.
