  1. And what's stopping them from training even harder to eventually not ride the bench, but actually play? Being lazy won't get you far, especially as a professional football player.

  2. Olympiakos are paired up with Dynamo Kiev. Usually Ukrainian clubs have been giving problems with Greek clubs. It is doable to beat them and advance into the round of 16.

  4. Great points lets hope the coaching staff focus on defending and hopefully coach Ange does a better job with his team selections than Skibbe did (which I think he will do). If he does that and we get our identity back which is playing with a defensive first mentality and hit these teams on the counter I think will be right in the hunt for the 2nd spot when all is said and done.

  5. No worries Jimmy. I hope we can knock off Italy in a few months and it will put a smile on your face.

  6. The developing of the Greek players is almost non existent. You see guys waisting any talent they have by leaving Greece and riding the bench for a foreign team and that’s why these players are consistently out of forum and rarely take the next step as a player.. This is an ongoing trend... Anyways this topic is about he Euros not who’s league is better which is obviously a no brainer.. I feel right now at our current state the team needs to decide on one style of play wether it be defend defend defend and stick with it or we have no chance in the Euros if we Continue with the way we have the last 4 years.. I can also say Mantalos and Bakasetas have been absolutely garbage for Aek and they don’t deserve a call up at all, Fetfa on the other hand who scored today and has been slowly looking good should be a no brainer.. Let’s see what happens.. In defence for @Ellada2004 I think you guys are miss understanding his point.. yes we would all like to see our team qualify as many times as England does obviously who wouldn’t but the value and the memories that a Euro win carries is next level s%$#! and you really can’t compare as the end goal is to win a trophy is it not?

  7. And that right there is the Greek mentality summed up. @Tzatziki, we can never take responsibility for what our teams have done. It's always "Olympiako did this but PAOK did this, you guys are just as bad. AEK is worse" blah blah blah. Greek football is sick and it has been for over 20 years. This attitude that all fans have isn't healthy. The people are very few and far between who actually say, yep you know what we messed up Karapappas was out of line. Theodoridis is a senile old man who shouldn't be in-front of the cameras. It's just considered the norm in Greece that these types of people are employed by the clubs. Could you imagine if Liverpool had a personal who works in an official capacity in the club posting on Facebook criticising refs and other teams alike? PAOK is guilty of this sort of stuff too, but come on now let's not act like our kaka don't stink. "You're president is just as bad" give me break re Let me say after all that, it's nice to see a Greek club doing well on the pitch in European competition. I hate that all this other stuff takes centre stage over the actual football. It's a shame but unfortunately it's a reality in Greece. Congrats on your win and qualification to the round of 32

  9. I don’t understand where this Olympiakos is unlucky meme has come from. They are 10 points behind us and they struggle to score. They have a good foundation and play nice but that doesn’t mean you deserve to win. To win you gotta stick the ball in the net. Now all of a sudden the game against Milan is the norm, and all their other games were aberrations. We’ll see. Until proven otherwise I’m inclined to think the Milan game was the aberration. And the media ha ha. Olympiakara. Best team in Greece. But can’t win a derby. Oh that’s right they’re unlucky. And PAOK is lucky ... for 13 games. The thing with PAOK (and anyone with a brain should see this) is they only need to turn it on for 10-15 minutes and they can score 2 goals. Which is generally what they’ve done. Couple that with a rock solid defence (at least in the GSL), and most teams in the GSL being fairly crappy standard, and there you have why PAOK are where they are this year. Anyway, let’s see what the rest of the season brings. And Marinakis, the donut king, “this is for all Greece”. Fark off donut man. Been raping and pillaging Greece for how long and now he’s all “this is for Greece”. Farking banana.
