The future looks really scary especially with the lack of any good up and coming young youth players in the system2 points

Please, I'll settle for an old fashioned 1-0 win over lackluster opposition. Just win one for the love of God!2 points

Hi there, Greetings from Bulgaria! My name is Ivo, big fan of Berba for a long time now. I've been "following" him wherever he goes and I am glad he went to PAOK, only 4 hours drive away from Sofia. :) You can expect many Bulgarian fans now, not only online, but most probably at Toumba too. Saw some of the live stream from the stadium today and I must say I am quite impressed - not only by the amazing warm welcome from the fans but also by the work from the club which developed Berba related branding at Toumba, made Tshirts available for pre-order, updated the player's profile on the website and all that in practically no time! Wow! I hear that Mr. Savvidis really wanted him - Berbatov is a kind of guy that needs to feel wanted and special, so I think that's the reason he joined in, not because Aston Villa offered less cash. How did Berba do today? He seemed happy and honest to me. Although, that "we are brothers" part was a bit too much, perhaps - I know you guys don't really see us as brothers and I get it. When I go on holidays to Chalkidiki, I am usually ashamed of the particular Bulgarians that go there. :) Anyway, Berba is a different story, I am sure he'll do great things here and make us all proud. Your expectations must be quite high taking into account the 1.6 million + bonuses that you are paying. In his last season with Monaco, he got even slower with age but hopefully his other skills will compensate that. He's never been a runner, after all. He's known for his finishing abilities yet you will see that he's even more useful for building attacks - always taking the right decisions. Being clever on the field is his biggest strength, if you ask me. Sorry for the long message. Here are some of my favourite Berba gifs as a reward for reading all that:2 points

You can't compare Greek idiots rioting for a day to Muslims who will turn your country into filth. These people are demanding all kinds of stuff and blocking trains etc... Who gives them this right. Is their a rule we have to take a bunch of Muslims in the country. They can easily go to Turkey but no they want to go to Europe because Europeans are generally gullible and stupid and "feel sorry" for them. Then its too late and you turn into France where you have monthly attacks from idiots. Why aren't fellow Muslims like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia taking them in. These countries are rich from oil too. Because they don't want these people in their country causing strife.1 point

Our coaches are terrified of playing with fewer than two DMs, so I doubt we'd see such a setup in the midfield. There are plenty of technical players out there; the issue is getting them on the field. Of course, right now, they'd look even worse, since our next generation has essentially never played together before. Just like our current generation. I just hope that these next matches are treated as serious attempts to try out new things, instead of regressing back to the normal trash we see.1 point

Come back George Samaras, we didn't mean it. Bring Maniati with you. We are all friends again! Hellas wouldn't be any worse at rugby I suppose.1 point

Here in UK we've already taken loads of refugees from Somalia in the past, but they've struggled to integrate with the natives and the more established Caribbean immigrants too, so the Somali's live in their own segregated areas now. Same thing would probably happen if Syrian refugees were taken in too. Millions of people will always want to come to Europe for a better life, there is always poverty and nearly always war somewhere too. It would be great if Europe could save loads of refugees from Syria or wherever and then everything would end happily ever after. But in reality such a migration would only benefit those that go to Europe and get a better life, while the war/poverty remains in the Middle East and Europe has a new set of problems associated with accommodating for the refugees. European leaders have to think long term. There are already social and racial tensions associated with non-European migrants and Muslims, this will only increase with more refugees. Europe is also very densely populated and unsustainable environmentally, something immigration would only worsen.1 point

Berba is quality even at his age yes he may lack pace but with the ball he is a magician. He was killing it an Monaco last season and demolished Arsenal in the CL. This guy once fit will do wonders in the League anyone who says different is either jealous or hating.....1 point

Ela re, if the likes of abeid, zeca, karelis, nano, hell even marinakis can find berg, i'm sure paok will work out how to get the ball to him. He has lost a lot of pace but the beauty of berbatov is that he has an excellent first touch and can create for others, just like berg does. Bring me an unlimited supply of these guys, because they age like fine wine. He also a very confident guy and showed he can adapt in a new environment. Only problem is that he will need a month to get the body right.1 point

Tax and Samaris don't work well together.... It's like Gerrard and Lampard .... Bahahaha1 point

A guy I was sitting next to today at Toumba seemed to think that Rajkovic (free agent) is on his way. He is injury prone and a bit of a hot head but he's played at a high level and we desperately need another defender. I hope he does sign, only PAOK would have the transfer window shut without having signed two of the most needed positions in your squad, have everyone asking 'what the hell?!' Then to have those two positions filled by free agents who have played a high level. Would make us look real silly for complaining all this while if they had this all planned out, but I trust this all would've just fallen into our laps, we deserve a bit of luck. EDIT: Forgot to mention he allegedly snubbed our initial offer because of interest from German sides. Usually I'd tell him to stick it but I'm not even mad, I'm that desperate to fill that void back there1 point

I hope not he did much more for the Ethniki than Amanatidis (I know he scored a winning goal vs Turkey).1 point

Tsanas said to the press that he hadnt decide the lineup yet (compare with the statement of many sites today "eight players will probably start"). Press conference with Tsanas and Tziolis: http://www.sport24.gr/football/ellada/ethniki_elladas/tsanas-theloyme-na-kanoyme-mia-nea-arxh.3645084.html1 point

Berba did awesome mr Bulgarian. He crossed the Bulgarian-Greek Boarders like no other top-class striker would. Would be a nice troll if they gave him the legendary 28/2's number.1 point

You're right. We should also continue using that strategy forever. I'd like to see 3 CBs, 3 DMs, a RB that can't run, and offset that with a LB that thinks he's a striker.1 point

Why even recuse these people. Just let them drown. All these muslim terrorists are invading Europe and Europeans are too dumb to figure it out. France is having monthly terrorists attacks by these people and they are still coming in by the thousands. You know how these people are. They come in, demand food and health care, strain the system, and then have 10 little mohammads and next you thing you know, they will be 40% of the population.1 point

Back in good old Holland I saw yesterday a very unusual scene for those who watch Greek football. When I was watching on the Dutch Nova the Feyenoord-Gavros-game the team NOT coming from Pireaus was awarded a...... . . . Penalty!!!! But I have to admit also that gavro played very well. And Feyenoord very poor by the way.1 point
