Blackhawk 1,253 Posted November 5 Much improved OFI team this season. I expect a very tough game. OFI will try to play offensively and not sit back with a parked bus, which might be good for our style of play. I only hope our defense is up to par. This might be a goal scoring fest. Bananas 1,217 Posted November 6 Yes much improved OFI. Good to see really, at least for the league in general. Will be interesting to see if we drop points. Too many players are out of form. Giannoulis, Misic, Swiderski and Vieirinha are playing well. The rest are all below par in one way or another. Stoch, Esiti, El Khadouri, Jaba aren’t contributing enough. What’s happening with Mauricio ? I feel like the team will “click” better if he can get back hopefully to the level he wast last season.
pash 1,582 Posted November 6 Mauricio got hurt again, though I'm not clear if this is a continuation of the past injury or something else. Very strange!
Yiankos 302 Posted November 6 Don't hold your breath for Mauricio. It's been already five weeks since he got his first playing time against AEK. I doubt he will be fit before Christmas. I hope he will be though after that. As for Pontus, more likely he's not going to play any games. Very unfortunate. The only good thing is Vieirinha is back. Out of the three he's the most important. Blackhawk 1,253 Posted November 6 I heard that Mauricio's injury is not directly related to his old one. Might be just that he came back too early without being in best physical shape. I also worry about Vieirinha. In Sunday's game after the first tackle on him he went down and it looked like he was injured. I would hope he comes back slowly. Unfortunately though I think he will start against OFI.
Το να μπει ο Μαουρίσιο στο 60% με τον Ολυμπιακό δεν θα μας βελτιώσει κάπου. pash 1,582 Posted November 8 Here's the list: Πασχαλάκης , Ζίβκοβιτς , Μάτος , Ροντρίγκο , Κρέσπο , Ίνγκασον , Γιαννούλης , Βιεϊρίνια , Ντόουγκλας , Ελ Καντουρί , Μίσιτς , Εσίτι , Πέλκας , Μπίσεσβαρ , Λημνιός , Στοχ , Ζαμπά , Άκπομ , Σφιντέρσκι Mauricio not included because he's only had a few workouts since coming back from injury. Probably for the best there.
Dutch Eagle 1,008 Posted November 8 Lamprou is added at the last moment as Swiderski is a questionmark because of fever.
pash 1,582 Posted November 8 Very interesting considering this post from earlier: Savvidis being very sassy in response to some people on instagram, as well (about Lamprou). Trouble in paradise, methinks.
Yiankos 302 Posted November 8 It's a pitty we need to start players like Stoch (who cost us 1.5 million + 1 million wage) against Volos or Lamia. Players like Lambrou should be playing those matches and hopefully we can sell them in the future for good $$!
pash 1,582 Posted November 8 Exactly. Every coach we have is terrified of a rotation, and then when they NEED to rotate, they have half a squad made up of people who look like they've never kicked a ball before. Play these guys. Ideally we'll sell Jaba + Limnios this winter, and don't hire another winger. We will still have ample depth at that point (Biseswar, Stoch, Pelkas, Lamprou, Gaitanidis, El Kaddouri).
Athens4 154 Posted November 8 To be honest I would think we are more likely to sell Jaba and El Kaddouri this winter.
pash 1,582 Posted November 8 I would take any combination of those! But Ferreira LOVES El Kaddouri, so....
Blackhawk 1,253 Posted November 8 Nobody will buy those two as things stay right now. Specially at the price we would like. El Kaddouri will most likely finish his contract with PAOK unless we unload him at half the price we were trying to sell him before the season started. Jaba's market value is going down each time he does not play. As a result he did not get called for the Brazilian Olympic team as expected, something that Augusto achieved with his play. Everything started with his trip to Porto last season during a NT break. He came back with a chip on his shoulder and everything went downhill for him since then. Dutch Eagle 1,008 Posted November 9 According to metrosport we will start with: Zivkovic Matos - Ingason - Crespo - Giannoulis Misic - Augusto El Kaddouri - Biseswar - Vieirinha Akpom I don’t understand why he is leaving Limnios out of the starting 11 as he is playing very well the last weeks. Maybe to please Vieirinha. I think we should be carefull with him and don’t start him. Just sub him in in ‘46 and start him against Doxa to get used to play more than a half game and sub him out in ‘70 or so. We don’t need another backdraft. Dutch Eagle 1,008 Posted November 9 Limnios will play and Swiderski too. Therefore Vieirinha and Akpom in the bench.
teke817 85 Posted November 9 I genuinely feel bad for Lampbrou ... also I don't like how Pelkas and Akpom have become afterthoughts either ... Abel needs more of a rotation and Bise is not on his top form atm
